I'm happy to annunce that single player story is playable with BATTLEFRONT-1035 - this will not replace the stock one, but it will be available via instant action.
Here you have a quick run of the levels from my Youtube.com channel:
Every level is playable except for Geonosis training mission which is conflicting with the mod files and will not be added.
The next update will come out very soon, so be ready for that, but do not ask for a release date.

It's written in the mod page's summary:
Campaign, Conquest, Space Assault & Hero Assault modes are supported, plus 2 custom maps are included.
