Battlefield 2: Nothing Held Back currently offers players with a wealth of new teams to play as, and equipment to use, more maps, and enhanced single player support. But this is only the beginning! The ultimate goal is to produce a mod where a player can play as one of many nations, all realisticly reflection on their real life counter parts, while allowing for maintenance of the original BF2 gameplay style. This, along with some gameplay modes just for fun and laughs and a gripping ever expanding single player campaign. Mod is still very WIP, version 0.1 is out, 0.2 release info is on it's way. Please note: Release dates are subject to change, in both directions...

Lot's of things going off at the moment, we've got lots of new teams, new guns and new skins appearing. We're getting to the point where we'll soon be focusing on level design and our single player campaign mode, although we're still looking for new team members.

Okay, I'll start with our new teams. We've got Britain, Russia and Germany added in with their respective SF teams and they're really taking shape now, it's just the odd case of removing our substitute weapons and putting in full blown ones. Aside from that we randomly decided we'd add Canada and France in too, and they're also taking shape in their various different locations.
As far as other features are concerned, we've programmed in an AN-94 Abakan for the Spetsnaz, that's just waiting for a model and skin now, we've added new stationary guns, such as an MG36 for the Germans, a PKM for the Russians, and an FN Minimi for the British, and we should have a C9 for Canada soon too. We've changed the rib boats too, so now each team has a different boat, with their respective LMG mounted instead of them all having M249s. We've also re-skinned all the vehicles that are chared between teams for some variation, and got some pretty awesome changes going off, and we've introduced the Cobra attack helicopter for the MEC as well since numerous middle eastern countries use the AH-1S.
We're also beginning work on our Team America based, counter-terrorist games, and have began on the WMD game mode, and team design.
Early campaign design is taking shape, we've got concepts coming in, and an extensive and involving background story set out.
Our first public release should also be soon, it ought to feature all of our new teams, with a few substitute weapons for the time being, our new skins, and our new boats and guns, along with our finely tuned night maps, which have been tailored for minimum visibility ranges, and some very interesting gameplay.
We do however, badly need to recruit modellers, UVW'ers and importers rather badly, if anyone's good at any of these things, we'd love to have you on-board, and it'd really accelerate the pace we can move at, and help get rid of a lot of substitutes and odd vehiclular equippment for many of the teams.
