love the EBR, the Americans should never have dropped the M14 series of rifles from their arsenals. All round excellent weapon, 7.62 x 51mm in a 20 rnd box mag, select fire weapon , accurate to over 800 metres, one shot one kill.
I think they dropped it because they were pressured into using the smaller 5.56 ammunition because of NATO, plus Colt makes the M4 and M16 and I believe the M416, so (im not sure) they have to pick the ammunition.
they dont make the 416 now its HK now they picked it up because it was a pretty expensive gun to make, so HK changed it a little now its teh HK416 and alot cheaper in production
