Battle Royale: The Fight For Survival, a Half-Life mod, is based around the controversial book released in Japan based around a class of 9th graders that are taken from their school and dropped on a deserted island in a bout to kill everyone but themselves.
We take this a step further with adding realistic weapons and maps that don't just belong on a deserted island, such as a high school, video arcade, and a neighborhood block. Even the characters are planned to have an anime-esque look about them (kind of like Soul Calibur) that will make each character look virtually different. Take that and add a game so agile, so fun, that one would like to play it over and over again. The fun never ends in this planned action-packed mod! For further information, please visit our site.

Anyway, all it said was that this project is going to be picked up again and will soon be under development. The reason it "died" in the first place was because we felt like we weren't ready to really delve into a mod project, so we decided to back off and learn more about what it really takes to make a mod.
Now, after a year, we will be working on this mod project again and soon make it active again. Sorry for you guys that watched the mod and didn't realize this would happen. Hopefully, everyone will be able to live out Battle Royale in a video game. ;)
We hope to get it restarted again so that fans will get to play BR as a game in English ;)

What the heck happened to you guys? Are you still working on the mod? It's a great idea. Well...crap.
If you have read the newest news post, you can say that we are asking from help by the people navigating the ModDB site. We will be asking for people like beta testers and perhaps even voice actors when it comes to be the time when we will need them. For now, sit back and relax as we bring you Battle Royale to a modification form!
Just a little news bit, yes, we will be converting to Half-Life 2, and if we aren't able to get enough out by the time the SDK is released, then we will just start building with it from there. Thank you for visiting our mod page.
Hey thanks! I'm glad to see there is more than one person who was interested in making a mod based off of the movie, because I didn't want to be seen as the only one.
