The Battle Grounds 2 and Battle Grounds 3(BG3) are Half-Life 2 multiplayer modifications based on the American War of Independence (1775-1783). The British Army and its Native American tribal allies engage in battle against the United States Continental Army and militia forces. Take aim and fire muskets, prepare bayonets and take control of the battlefield to succeed in your campaign for final victory. Combat will vary from long-range rifle marksmanship to brutal close quarters hand-to-hand melee fighting. You will need a mix of first person combat skills and quick-thinking strategy to survive. So prepare yourself to do battle for your side and to meet the enemy head-on. Only one side can be victorious.
Player models for the new classes of 1.5a, here the Minuteman.
"Unlike continental soldiers, who fought under the more centralized control of the Continental Congress, local militia soldiers and "minutemen" were controlled by state or local governments and served to defend those places, as they were available to be called to action quickly to defend their homes. Militia units also served as auxiliary forces to Continental troops. They were generally more mobile, though not at as well-trained as Continental Army units. The Minuteman/Militia class in Battlegrounds 2 reflects this: he is faster than regular line infantry and equipped more for shooting than for melee. He carries a French-made 1777 model musket and a belt axe from the farm."
NICE ! What is the name for this class?
We called this class "Minuteman" in the class menu UI, but Militia is just fine as well.
The two new classes can be described as "skirmishers", they do not have the melee power of the line infantry, but they move faster and use a tomahawk/farm axe for melee combat.
"Take your powder, take your gun, report to general washington..."
Very nicely done!Seems you've done a lot of research.
Can you make him stand like that in-game, when he is standing still?
His arm is going through the gun.
