War of Empires is a mod with 6 great empires. Calradia has been overrun by greater empires, non of the existing factions survived the brutal invasion. While these wars where going on the bandits took advantage and have grown in strenght and numbers fast. They are a real threat to Calradia now.

The Saxons never had an Empire, the Vikings warred each other frequently and France is a horrid choice for an "Empire." Oh yeah and the Mongols were extremely unstable.

France's "empire" wasn't even close to an Empire.
If you look into the fact of how much power France had and how much land in the 1200 - 1500, you can call them an empire except for the time of the 100 years war where we kicked their arses :P
