Are you fed up with not being able to kill a man with your bare hands in the heat of battle? Sick and tired of feeling useless flailing away at the other guys? Is there an overwhelming wave of despair and hopelessness as your only friend dies in your scrawny, frail hands?
Me too my friends, until I loaded my fists with the might of Thor! The strength of Zeus! With the FMD H14 Combat Defibrillators, you too can go from a useless, panty-waisted chunk of dead weight to the most envied combat medic this side of the Milky Way!
With these miraculous volt mitts strapped on, not only can you easily kill a man with a single strike*, you can even stop the hail of deadly bullets** sure to come your way (from the jealous enemy) with the built in shield generator! And if that wasn't enough, you can heal all your new found friends with a soothing pulse of Frankenstein-Grade electric shocks, or simply give them a reassuring knuckle sandwich to bolster their moral and liven their spirits!
*FMD H14 Combat Defibrillators may require more than one strike to ensure lethality.
**FMD H14 Combat Defibrillators may not ensure survival against hail of bullets.
Let's make some analogies here. AK490 = Crude wooden stick. LK05 = Precision scalpel. E-V Plasma Cannon 9000 = Big Freaking Gun.
The completely tricked-out LK05 Advanced Carbine is guaranteed to make you the envy of all your crude wooden stick-toting allies! You see, some rifles come with lasers, some come with bayonets, and some come with magazines, but none come with all of them at once! This piece of precision equipment gives you a foregrip, holosight, laser aiming module, silencer, and flashlight, and yes, these are all usable ingame! So get out there and send some accurate rounds down range before getting obliterated by a big freaking gun!
And as usual, we've got a few ingame goodies to show you guys. Shown here are the X8 Ballistic Knife and MOA-C Chaff Grenades in their handheld forms.
These two weapons are normally mounted on their respective rifles, however we've now made it so that players who select those guns get the attachments as well! For example, loading out an MJ51 carbine with toxin grenades will give you both toxin and chaff grenades to pick from. Of course, using up all of your grenades or knives will deplete them from both the gun and your inventory, so watch your ammo!
Lastly, last month's MGL is now sporting a particularly rugged desert-tan finish and has gained the ability to fire remote detonated mines with its secondary fire. Now you have the choice of simply obliterating your opponents with 6 grenades at once, or sneakily maiming them with 1 cleverly hidden remote mine!
OMFG DEFIBING!!
There is nothing cooler than whacking someone in the face with electrical gloves.
I wonder if they can somehow make it so that you can actually revive people with them. Probably not, but that would be as kickass as hitting enemies with a weapon that does lots of damage while also stunning, flinching and half-blinding them. Which is exactly what these things sound like. What I'm saying is that would be very nifty.
Given enough time we probably could make it revive people, but you'd have to ask yourself, why? They'll just respawn instantly anyways. Right now, as it stands, healing team mates is questionable in usefulness considering respawn, but invasion, last man standing and such help to justify it somewhat.
It does nice knock back and vision blurring, damage isn't really great, though it has enough bonuses to it to make it useful as a medic's weapon that also make it great as a melee berserker's weapon (shield generator, area damage, etc.).
Reviving won't happen.
Not only would that be hard to code, but people respawn instantly and a little bit of electricity is not going to be able to reattach your limbs and head after they get blown off. ;)
Wow, I like the looks of the LK05, looks like my new favorite assault rifle right there! Some nice innovations and texturing jobs (nice color pick for the GL), though I am also sadface that the mountain of content we have been seeing is still yet to come :(
(By the way, I like how the LK05 looks kinda like the hybrid child of a SCAR-L and RSASS, or at least it got the RSASS's nose ^_^)
Looks more like a hybrid of an SG553 and ACW-R to me.
The top portion reminds me of the SCAR, yeah, but the pistol grip and mag bring to mind the MP5. The stock definitely screams SCAR though.
Yet another awesome update. :D
What map is that in the screenshot of the chaff grenade? Link to download anywhere?
Here here! I was curious about that one, and the one above it showcasing the knife as well. I was looking around on rusut.ru hoping I'd come across them, but hadn't found them yet. Names or links would be very appreciated :D
