Hi everyone! After a longer pause there's some new info about the patch 1.1 for Back2Fronts mod 1.0. Here's a complete change LOG up to present date...

1) Stalingrad error with target officers not spawning corrected


2) Stalingrad startup setup tweaked - player always has scoped Mosin and a Nagant revolver, the grenades can be selected from the weapon selection menu


3) Stalingrad mission uses summer russian hands (without snow)
4) Stalingrad mission now contains one enemy sniper inside the rooms with sniper passages, so if player from any reason looses his/her scoped Mosin he/she can reaquire a scoped weapon from this killed enemy


5) Stalingrad ending sequence has now random group of He111 and/or Condor bombers


6) Demolition mission set back to Stalingrad setting (both texts and mission menu)


7) Eastyorks2 mission now has corrected its victory screen functionality (next mission button working properly)


8) Angoville mission now has corrected the victory condition when music is turned off


9) Leningrad and Toujane ride missions have lowered German accuracy


10) Prison break halftrack replaced with horch1a


11) Toujane ride european Stuka replaced with african one


12) corrected weapon carry overs through missions
13) summer Russian females (without snow on their uniforms) now have their voices corrected


14) all summer Russians now match their winter counterparts in loadout so they can equip Nagant revolvers for example
15) Thompson M1 and M1A1 peep iron sights are closer to player when aiming (full-auto firemode)
16) G43 iron sights are closer to player when aiming


17) De Lisle ADS fire animation corrected (firing pin strike)


18) a new animation (kick) was added for AI grenade-throw-back


19) German armored car lowest LOD distance increased (no more boxy armored car seen from distance)
20) German armored car overheat rate increased


21) AI no longer has a weapon in hand while driving


22) campaigns unlock after each other (in the order of the mission select menu)
23) credits menu edited - added - 65kawasaki, Aidas2 and Chopin


24) reworked Pak43, Flak88, C36 and QF6 explosion effects - rubble thrown in air during explosion is unique to each cannon


25) King Tiger and Tiger stats tweaked (optimalization)
26) winter kubelwagen replaces summer ones on winter maps


27) AI reload sound tweak (optimalization)
28) B2F icon file in the package for mod's shortcut


29) less camera movement during sprinting


30) Russian commissars with handguns as primary always have Nagant revolver
31) helmet guy in Downtown Sniper has AVT-40


32) Moscow's interogator is now a commissar


33) Duhoc rescuer is now a medic
34) missing binoculars from Duhoc mission corrected


35) Duhoc drone AI corrected - no more occasional unarmed guys
36) general Russian drones modified - they spawn randomly with SVT40/PPSh/Mosin/DP28
37) general British drones modified - they spawn randomly with Thompson/Enfield/Bren
38) general American drones modified - they spawn randomly with Thompson/M1 Garand/M1 Carbine/BAR


39) general German drones modified - they spawn randomly with Kar98k/MP40/MG34


40) added support for summer Russian jeep


41) african Opel Blitz corrected - engine hood skin


42) winter Opel Blitz edited - white color


43) normandy Opel Blitz edited - skin color tone


44) AI health tweaked for both friendlies and enemies (generally - more health to all friendlies, less health for enemies)
45) AI optimalization (weapons, etc.)
46) elite units have more health and accuracy (British paratroopers, German fallschirmjagers, Waffen SS, Russian NKVD...)
47) cvars for custom weapons were added to default MP config

I only have one note, isn't the Du Hoc rescuer Sgt. Randall? He is definately not a medic.

he used to be Sgt.Randall in original cod2. but I changed him into generic medic because it makes more sence.

The De Lisle has faulty melee and reloading animations. Will it be fixed? I mean the De Lisle was a magazine loaded weapon, so the realoading animation like Mosin's of Garand's does not fit...

Anyway it's really nice to see some update! This is one of the best mods I've ever seen. Keep up the good work!

melee anim for De Lisle is a placeholder so it will be corrected into regular bashing.
but the reloading is ok. you just don't see the magazine change because it is under the screen. if you change your cg_fov value to larger number you can see it happening.

Wish the LoD distance would be increased by default. It's kind of annoying to go into devmode every time you want to change r_lodbias 0 to -1000. Also, some blood and gore also wouldn't hurt, would it?

Pretty much all of them. And I don't mean like a model popping into view a hundred meters away, I could be only a meter or so away from a low poly model and it'll suddenly change into a higher poly version.

Hello! I want to report a few issues on the 1.0, (and sorry if I have a bad english): in the "St. Lamaire" mission, there is no way to complete the checkpoints, always die in the process and I have to start the mission all over from the very begining, and in the "Demolition" mission, the ending should be reworked if it's possible, because it seems weird to be just staring at the exploding build with your comrades in the end of the mission and, from nowhere, you are captured, I know that's for the "Prison Break" mission but, I don't know, in my opinion the ending could make more sense if there could appear some nazi soldiers or something like that, and in the Red Army Training, sometimes there appears an immortal german soldier from the halftrack, that's all I wanted to say, and keep up you amazing work! I really like your mod, it's by far the best one for COD2, greetings from Venezuela!

The mod is awesome, but I have some questions: will be there any summer missions for the Red Army? Becuase, if it was a secret, there are all seasons in Russia, not only the winter :-)
Also, is there any way to make soldiers with an anti-tank rifle a bit more useful? Because they don't hit any armoured unit, but waste their ammo in desperate attempts to hit an infantryman. I mean, is it possible to make them open fire only at veichles?
And the last one: can you increase amount of ammo for AVT-40? Because it's a good gun, but it drains ammo so fast... Hell, it has only about 60 rounds 'in the pouches'! Even BAR has more ammo.

I have problem with russian pipeline mission, my character is constantly running and cannot use any weapon,
second thing is armored car mission, when I get into it nothing happens, like Price and McGregor don't try to start the engine or even talk

I hope you can add the gas grenade and flamethrower into the future patch for both the player and A.I. to use. The flamethrower was a lot of fun in COD 5: World at War and I would like to see these two new additions in the sandbox for Back2Fronts. The Germans first used the flamethrower in 1915 in the First World War and used it in World War II to clear out trenches, houses, bunkers, and to burn bodies. The gas grenade is used to help the flames spread a lot more quicker. The Merciless mod featured both and it would be awesome if you could add these things in. If the flamethrower user is shot in the container on his back, he would explode.

Instead of spending time making your own missions, haven't you thought of extracting campaign maps from COD1 and UO and making it all in one giant multi-layer campaign?

Just an idea for 1.1 patch. Maybe add "Intel" or "Documents" to collect like the Modern COD's do? A couple "Intel's" in some or all the maps to just collect. Since there's so much area's to explore in this game especially with this mod!

I also see almost every German soldier carry at least 11 panzerFausts and I really think you should have the option to disable ai from shooting those at enemies I constantly see rangers killing them selves by shooting them as nearby cover or Nazis near to them. also no body would waste an anti tank weapon on infantry especially a one shot panzerfaust.
