Description
The Asia class will be a Utility support cap for the Federation.

Since a lot of the Axanar ships are based on an arms race during a war with the Klingons, where is this ship on the technological tree?
Are we talking right below a Constitution (considering its visual similarities?) or below the Ares class?
Pre-Ares class, but heavily armoured. Basically was a parallel line of ship design theories built around the same time the Korolev/Kelvin/ect. were being designed. In Trek lore it was designed post-Romulan War.
Will the mod include the refit, the Asia being what the Excelsior is in Armada 3 (upgrade-wise)?

Well, looks for me too much as a Constitution class. Why not use a NX-01 refit instead?

It is actually it's own ship class and I believe it is smaller than the Constitution class, Besides by that time the NX series would have been mothballed. It might be like a early exploration ship but it is tiny...
Maybe, but the Neptune class is a bit older than the NX series and nevertheless they have added it. With the refit the NX wouldn't be look so old, it would even look more to a hybrid of the 22nd and 23rd century ships.^^
If anything the Asia has just as much NX in it as well as Connie. It has much more stubby appearance than the Connie with a large neck like the NX Refit.
Also the textures haven't been applied yet which will give it a far more unique look.
