Story: HL2 mod continuing story of HL:Opposing Force character Adrian Shephard in a time set somewhere between HL1 and HL2. It brings you from a Black Mesa like base trough an outdoor environment and a Soviet marine base into a early combine citadel to end in a ancient alien location here on earth, the combine stumbles upon when creating a citadel. What you get: Intro and 5 playable maps roughly good for a hour of playtime. The mod includes custom props, textures and music but NO new weapons or NPC's.

Hello,
I just installed the mod, Load it up and I goto new game, pick chapter 1..
And i watch the long intro movie.. till it takes me into a room in the base where I get a crosshair and can run around the room, but within 5 seconds of my gaining control of the player, the whole screen fades to grey,
I can still hear myself jumping etc.. but cant see anything.

I've attempted loading a new game a couple times, changed my video settings etc..

I'm using an Ati - 9800Pro, various resolutions widescreen and none. Turned filtering off, HDR etc.. off still same issue.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

hmm thats a weird one,
did you have a level load yet, otherwise its just not loading the next level for some wicked reason,
you can try to select the next chapter in the new game dialog where the game should continue with another small camera controlled sequence with the G-man.

Yea it appaears the intro isnt loading the next map for me, i deleted the content and redownloaded/installed it and still,
fades to grey soon as the intro ends.. and its like running around the room w/ a flashbang effect ( but grey instead of white )

If I save the game and reload it, I can run around the room, but it goes no where and the level load file is the intro map...
it just plops me down in the room that has tables and some water on the floor n' stuff.

:( i want to play so badly.
I dont want to select the next chapter cuz then ive missed the start.. y'know?

less the 1st chapter is just that intro.. but that doesnt make much sense

Are you using the movement keys during the intro sequence?
The player should be clipped so he can't move during the intro, but it sounds to me that somehow you get outside the trigger for the next map,
what if you run between the 2 tables in that room after loading the save? (thats where the trigger is located)
I don't think youre going to miss anything loading the next chapter as the first chapter is the intro.
