hey guys Ive released a beta on the avp2 discord sever where u can go ahead and download it and try it for urself but be aware that the most recent changes have not been made. I will release the next beta when all the props and entity models are done. I don't know when will the final version of this will come out. I upload updates on discord when Ive made a change if other people would like to help me it would be better and development would be faster

This is looking great so far. Not sure if you're UV chopping the textures like the vanilla games (game supports a maximum of 1024 or 1080 from what I remember). But some advice for modding old games that can help improve the textures is to merge the materials together. Since this is a old game that doesn't even support basic PBR, what you could do is attempt to combine the newer materials into one texture sheet. For example, if you have the diffuse map and a AO map texture, you can merge the two to get the AO effect on the diffuse.
need more info on this bc the predator hunting grounds textures are theones that have this problem
I specifically registered on this site to write to you: Do not stop development, it's very cool that at least someone decided to at least a little, but to rejuvenate the good old AVP2, because even for AVP1 there is a REDUX mod, but for the sequel there is nothing like that, keep going in the same spirit, don't give up, it's good, ask around if someone else wants to help you with development. Position your mod as a remaster, I think fans of aliens and theirs will be there to help!
thank you Ive just had a alot of irl problems going on Im more than happy if ppl can volunteer to help all the character models are done they need some texture tweaks and the vehicles just and items just need to be remade too
