Personally, I couldn't get through this mod before giving up and removing it, so take my review for what it's worth. I'm not a modder, just an amateur Half-Life fan looking for good mods. The levels were unnecessarily huge. Barely any health given, but a generous portion of combat. Not very well thought out. If you like those kinds of challenges, then this mod is for you. However, it wasn't for me.
Mediocre mod, but the last parts of it a nice.
Though some may decry Assault On Roswell as a beginner mod, I think it was a Intermediate skill level mod made in the haydays of Half-Life.
The mod charges you with finding an alien virus and destroying it, The layout is very well thought out. Even though you have to return to some locations several times, It gives you a engaging story to complete.
Bad, but enjoyable.
There simply wasn't much direction for me in some places, and while it's been years since I last played this, I remember it being punishingly difficult.
Only play if you want a piece of some good ol' half-life fun, otherwise, stay clear.
