Welcome to 203X. The federal government is no more, and the once United States are now but splintered factions fighting over their own homeland. Those who were under American protection now find themselves defenseless. The Russians are rallying their EUSS friends, exploiting the chaos to export the wonders of neo-sociallist thought. Their concealed hands hold many nations in their grip. The Chinese, having abandoned their past, push their Revolution to the next, ever more brutal, stage. If they succeed, freedom will become a relic of the past. The UN Armed Coalition is assembled, in hopes to enforce the order engineered by the first world. Those who do not comply will be subdued for the greater good. There is no escaping the world war. Everyone is ready to Assault Amerika. Are you?

Description

Skirmishers/Storm Troopers can be upgraded at Tier 2 once the American Engineering Depot is built. Either upgrade costs 2000$ and takes 2:00 to complete (subject to balance changes).

Grenadier Skirmishers (Red) receive medium range grenade launchers in addition to their sniper rifles, making them capable at attacking bases and very weak vehicles. This special attack has a long cooldown, but a skilled Commander will move these soldiers back and forth to slowly wear out slower groups of enemies.

Ambusher Skirmishers (Green) can lay stealth Legbreaker mines that trigger when hostile units pass nearby them. Foot mobiles will be severely damaged, while vehicles will be crippled to 1/3 of their speed for a few seconds. These mines are an excellent tool against base raids or sneaky paratroopers.

Assault Storm Troopers (Red) further improve their firepower, exchanging their shotguns for heavier variants that have superior area damage at the expense of slightly lower per-shot damage. Their weapons still pose no threat to vehicles, though.

Escort Storm Troopers (Green) instead choose to focus on their defensive abilities and can create small smoke screens that protect friendly infantry from enemy fire for a limited amount of time. This ability is risky, as the smoke can affect adjacent enemy units as well. Still, for those who prefer infantry-heavy army compositions, this retrofit is a must-have.
