Art of War
Two years of great effort has been spent on converting Warcraft 3 into a conventional RTS.
Features:
-Full tech trees of Burning Legion and Naga races
-Weak and inexpensive units, each of whom may carry two items.
-Items have been modified to boost the entire army, rather than single units.
-200 food max.
-Heroes have been converted into regular units - therefore you can produce several of them - who require upgrades to learn their spells and increase their stats.
-New units, upgrades and structures have been added to all the races, which helps the balance of this mod and gives a larger variety in strategy.
-Ships and shipyards have been added to all the races except the Naga; with unique abilities, and attack and armour types.
-Custom AIs
Balance wise, yes, this map is quite balanced - unlike several altered-melee maps, unfortunately. :/
The Naga's tier one is going to recieve a little change in the near future, but the mod is pretty much finished there.
Each race has 20+ units and 15+ structures.
On the originality side: well, I think the fact that I have been working on this project since The Frozen Throne was released shows that this is quite original. By now, having the Burning Legion and Naga as playable races is not particulary new ground breaking stuff - and several mods have gone to the lengths of adding even 8 races. But, the whole truth is is that isn't this mod's goal to have a ton of new races, but an original idea of converting Warcraft 3 to have Warcraft 2 and Starcraft like gameplay.
After looking over other Warcraft 3 mods, I realized that the mod 'No more heroes' is very similar to this; but I can assure you, this is no copy and though I haven't attempted to play No More Heroes, I can assure you that they are most probably very different.

how do you make it work? i download the map, put it in my war3 maps directory and then, i go custom game, select the map, and then start. and then, the maps menu come over again, nothing's happening. exactly how iceman223 says!!. HELP? i really love the nagas
Hey i hvnt downloaded the mod but could someone plz give me a link to download it coz im kinda stuck on searching for it......if u can id be over joyed (wtf)lol
This mod needs to be fixed the demo has a click command that my mapmaker will not accept
when ever i click on it it wont take me in game and it wont let me pick char it just puts me right back into the selection

Holy crap. This is awesome. U choose the races in the beginning of the game... cool.
woo this is prety cool. 4 ppl that dont know download the map from addons, then drag the file to the maps folder in warcraft III in program files. somthn like this C:/Programe Files/Warcraft III/Maps ... then u just go custom game and play the art of war
how do u grt the maps?
