Apotheosis X is a total conversion for Marathon Infinity running on the Aleph One engine. Apotheosis X pushes the boundaries of what's possible aesthetically with the marathon engine whilst retaining its low resolution 90's charm. The campaign features engaging combat that scales with player skill and aggression, with a roster of new enemies and weaponry that compliments the original games' nuance and high skill ceiling.

Description

This is the first update to Apotheosis X, and mainly addresses bugs, errors, game balance and sound mix.

I've been playing Marathon and Aleph One scenarios for 20+ years... this is AWESEOME!

I'm engrossed so far; It's a complete vision. I would like to ask if it would be possible to make a transparent HUD, instead of the current letterboxing effect when it's enabled. The HUD is very cool-looking but the box really cuts into the screenspace.

There are 2 generic plugins you can download that solve this issue:

Simplici7y.com
Simplici7y.com

There is no bespoke full screen HUD for Apotheosis at this time.

thank you dearly. And all the best to you. I'm about halfway through Apotheosis, everyone is vibing really well. Awesome music too; high quality and reminds me of Monolake.

Love it so far. Definitely some Halo vibes. The menus are pretty laggy for me. Is that to be expected?

There should be a short fade between menu screens as is standard for Marathon, but apart from that I wouldn't expect there to be lag.

hmm ok, maybe it has something to do with my GSYNC monitor and the frame rate cap setting in game.
