Hello and welcome to And so it Began. I have taken it upon myself to edit the continent of Calradia. Now, I hear you asking me, what is within this mod? Well, well, well. Massive troop tree upgrades to say the least, followed by new equipment (Weapons, armor, etc) and a whole sortie of new banners. Is that all, you ask? No. It is not. The mod is in its very early stages of development and as a one man team, massive features (such as diplomacy, freelancer, etc) will take time to implement. I can promise you now that this mod will not be a waste of your time and you may thoroughly enjoy what it offers in-game.
Pretty self explanatory to be honest.
They are average archers and can't really handle themselves in melee.

They don't look like slaves, more like steppe bandits w/o horses.
What would you suggest would make them look more like slaves?
You should give them a chain mark on their neck or arms :). or a burn mark on their neck. the armor should be decent good.
And maybe torn clothes.
Yes I would. I suggest that you give them variable clothing, whereby they either wear nothing or the weakest cloth armour and no hats.
The idea was to make them look semi unique, and throughout history, a lot of slave soldiers were well equipped. I'll think on your suggestion though
