Ancient Kings is a mod to famed Crusader Kings II, providing players the opportunity to go back to the violent times of Antiquity. The mod takes place between Battle of Ipsus (301 BC), which saw the final dissolution of Alexander the Great's empire, as far as to 610 AD, when Emperor Heraclius got rid of the last remnant of old Roman Empire - official Latin. The mod will offer varied gameplay, allowing players to take role of Roman consuls during Third Roman-Samnite war or one of the diadochi on their quest to resurrect Alexander's empire, to pick sides in Carthage's and Rome's conflict during Second Punic War, to fight as one of the tribes during Ceasar's subjugation of Gaul or to choose to support either Mark Antony or Octavian Augustus during the Final War of the Roman Republic. The mod is currently WIP, but I try to improve its state regularly, while also providing that it's as realistic and historically accurate as it can be.

Hello there,

As you know, I'm the creator of the mod idea and mod itself. Most ideas that the mod consists (or will consist) of are made by me. However I'm an open-minded person and I'd love to include brilliant ideas that are not products of my own mind.

Therefore I encourage everyone who have great ideas of generally everything concerning the mod, its mechanics and its development to share it. Don't be afraid if you have some good thought and share it in the comments below. This also involves sharing advice about technical stuff - after all I'm a self-learner and I'm only beginning my adventure with Crusader Kings II modding. :)

I promise I'll take a look at it. If for some reason it can't be included I will inform about this and the reasons why. But if fortune smiles and it turns out to be brilliant addition to the mod, I'll be grateful and happy to include it and to give you credit.

That's it from me for now, stay tuned for new screenshots of new things that are included. I can't promise when it'll happen - I don't have very regular schedule. :P
