An Empire Reborn is a light overhaul mod for Empire Total War, enhancing and rebalancing existing units and systems without compromising the core gameplay. Special care has been undertaken to fit all new units and artwork into the existing core gameplay and art style of the original game.

Key Features
1. Significant rework of unit rosters for all major factions
2. Reworked unit recruitment for land and naval units
3. Over 40 new units and many more reworked units
4. New Textures and Unit Icons/Portraits for increased visual diversity and historical accuracy
5. Major balance changes for multiple unit types

Mod Compatibility
Since this mod modifies core game files, this mod is not compatible with Darthmod or other major overhauls. However, An Empire Reborn should be fully compatible with any graphics mods that alter the environment/campaign map/effects. Modpacks with new units can be added, however they will likely not be balanced the same way the units in this mod are. Please let me know if there are any issues with running multiple smaller mods along with this one.

This mod is 100% compatible with Empire Total Factions by husserlTW and it is highly recommended as a companion mod to this one.

Hello! Thank you for the great mod! I've only recently played Empire and using your mod definitely made the game a better experience. The inclusion of more units and other changes that made sense made battles a bit more fun!

If possible, I would like to suggest the inclusion of the "All Factions" mod in your own since its highly recommended and just offers more gameplay choices. I would also suggest the 4 turns per year mod to possible.

I'd have to get permission from the original mod author to include any minor faction and/or startpos mods. But it is something I'm very interested in doing.

I could. But I'd have to figure out where to make them recruitable since Dahomey doesn't exist as a region in game. Making them recruitable in Morocco like in vanilla wouldn't be right either.

I'll look into it though.

Short answer is yes. European, Eastern, Native, and Indian factions should all have revised textures for many core units.

I did revisions of quite a lot of units, but I haven't compiled a change list of every single unit or texture I've worked on.

Great mod, my only issue are the 0 recruitment cost, 0 upkeep cost and 0 turns recruitment time swordsmen that islamic factions have. I don't really understand the rationale behind that unit, and it ruins any campaingn in the area, so it's most likely a bug? Was having a great Venice campaign but eventually I just gave up frustraded because I was endlessly getting swarmed by Ottoman stacks of free units. Anyways, any information on when the update should be coming along?

That's new. What unit was it? I've been working on an update that should be out decently soon, but I had no idea a unit was causing an exploit like that.

Yeah, I figured it a bit later, it was a conflict with the City Garrison Mod. It was the only free unit though, it would be nice if you could work on a patch.
