Since the very beginning of Cry of Fear, it was apparent that Simon was severely depressed, and had no one to turn to. It was even said by Doctor Purnell that Simon had been deeply disturbed individual since long before "the accident". But how did Simon get this way? What had happened that caused him to have no one to depend on in his life? This custom story mod takes a creative look at how Simon got to where he was at the very beginning of Cry of Fear. It's about having no one to depend on, no shoulder to lean on, and no one, not even your best friend, to turn to at your darkest hour. It's a story of social isolation, of being pathetically and utterly alone.

Report RSS Suicide Map To Be Released Soon

We talk about the details on a fun, new piece of content meant to tide you over until the release: A suicide map!

Posted by on

Over the past week, we've been working on a new piece of content that should give you a bit of fun, both in co-op mode, and singleplayer.

We've taken the abandoned asylum map from the Cry of Fear main campaign, and have converted it into a suicide map. There will be 2 versions of this Suicide map: one that is intended for singleplayer mode (don't worry; it will be completely do-able singleplayer), and one that will be released later, which is intended for at least two players.

Not only that, but we will also be releasing a version of the abandoned asylum that is actually not a suicide map, but, instead, is what we like to call a "co-op adventure map". It will be a short little co-op map where the players must work together to progress through the asylum, all while trying to survive the terrifying enemy encounters and various scary events in the asylum.

Singleplayer suicide map sounds awesome! If it lasts 30 minutes then I'm gonna have a rough time beating this map xD
