A more recent up-to-date news update for Alliance at War.

Thank you to all the people asking me to hurry up and start working on this again. It let's me know that you all like it. Don't worry I'll start back on it in a few weeks. Though in truth yesterday I came home threw my bag down and started to write the codes for a new planet while eating some Taco Bell. There's going to be a 1.4 update, just maybe sometime next month though.

Models and hardpoints
Many of you ask the question "Why haven't I added even more units?" Well without the right program, which is 3ds Max 7 or 8 I believe, there's only so much I can do. If you want to send me yours or find me a free legal version to download then yes I'll start learning how to make models. And yes unit's would have more hardpoints and batteries.

Ship Classes
There have been a few times I was asked about ship classes. Like why is a Victory-II a frigate and not a capital ship or why is a Venator only a cruiser. Well capital ship doesn't necessarily mean it's big, capital ship means it's being used as a command ship, exploration, transportation, or tourism ship. In truth a CR90 could be used as a capital ship. Now a Cruiser, that will tell you how big a ship might be. For example: A Broadside Cruiser is a medium cruiser because it's 500 meters long, and a Venator is a heavy Cruiser because it's longer than 600 meters; Even the commander of one will announce "Star Cruiser standing-by" sometimes. If you have any opinions or objections feel free to post about them.

Anyway, I hope you are Enjoying Alliance at War.
All Alliance All the Way, and may the Force be with us.

Might I suggest Blender? It's fairly straight forward, but powerful all at the same time.

I don't think Blender can use Alo files. Unless you know a way to make it work with them...

3DS Max 2010-2013 does not support ALO or ALA files. The last version that did is the 09.
