Adventure in the East is a historical mod for Mount and Blade: Warband, taking place in the Middle East in the year of 634. This mod has a compelling story campaign and many other new features. Adventure in the East does a great job of capturing the themes and aesthetics of the period, for that alone it deserves a 10/10, but it lacks a lot of gameplay features that other modern mods make standard such as deeper character creation options and multiple/deeper faction troop trees. Like many Warband mods it starts to feel more like a reskin of the base game rather than something on its own. Another issue I've found is that its very difficult to break out of the early game due to many of the bandit groups being cavalry or using many thrown weapons which destroy your starting peasants (though this could just be me sucking at the game). All in all I have had a wonderful time and if this mod expands on these criticisms in the future I will gladly turn it to a 10/10, but right now there's a lot of other mods with fresher gameplay I'd rather be playing.

An amazing mod, beautiful and polished, with a unique setting and a lot of attention to detail.

Core gameplay features are pretty much in the style of vanilla - the main focus is directed towards immersion instead. New quests, scripted events, historical campaign and diverse rebel groups all contribute to a unique feeling of being in the middle of important developments occuring all around you. The battle system is mostly simplistic and based around blocks of spearmen supported by light and medium cavalry of all sorts. Aesthetically, the mod is absolutely stunning, providing great skins for troops and cities, picturesque landscapes of the Arabian peninsular and beyond, Persian recruits carrying their colourful shields and Nubian warriors armed with all the authentic medieval African attire.

Overall, the ambition of the mod lies in its authenticity and grandeur of the vast spaces of the plains, deserts and rolling hills of the East. 10 out 10 for the great concept and polished experience.

it is alright but the map fps drops while waiting in the map, and it has a great great problem, you see, it is forbidden to picture the companions of the prophet Mohammed peaces and blessings be upon him in a film or game etc. that is why i removed this mod, maybe you can like put heavy white light on their faces to hide it so that its some what more appealing to muslims like me

I like this mode

Very good

Very active modder with some nice additions and storyline

At first I didn't like it very much but then I started to enjoy it a lot, you could almost say that it is almost the best Mount and blade warband mod although it doesn't beat Perisno, it has lag problems but nothing more
