Description

The emblem of the united principalities of Antioch and Tripoli was a yellow cross on a red field. It is documented by the Wijnbergen roll with the legend: le Roy de surie. The legend refers to the former Roman province of Syria which had its capital at Antioch. This emblem is the same as the emblem of the Byzantine Empire, as displayed on its banner.
