One week has passed since Michael Sanders' world was shattered by a simple sip of wine. Though he is plagued with horrible dreams, he had believed that his ordeal was over. He will soon discover that the late night drink that sent him into a hellish world of nightmare was only the beginning. WARNING: This mod contains a good deal of reading, and no voice acting. It can be played without paying attention to the story, but you will miss out on the main focus of the game if you do that. The text amounts to less than what would be a single chapter of a book.

I have so many things i would love to say about this CS, but that would take WAY too long. This was a blast to play, and very original in my opinion. Super scary! Super fun! And while i have never played the original, this CS has urged me to do so, and you can best BET that i will. Great job DeAngelo, i reeeeeally hope to see more from you in the future. 10/10 for me.

While I truly hate the original because of how cliche it actually is, this one is absurdly good. Reaching perfection.

The author finally made it properly scary, it may have a jumpscare or two but at least it's way more efficient than in the original (Honestly, I would argue these aren't even jumpscares but proper scares).

My favourite is, and this despite not being an original idea, is how he used Silent Hills' demo as inspiration for one part of the nightmare. The Demon in there? Truly expertly made, never expected it anywhere else.

By the way, the first scare? I was amazed, yet another great job.

My only gripes are...
MacLeod's songs were used much better now, but they weren't timed well yet.
Environment, specifically the lighting, could have used more work. Sometimes there's some kind of faked fullbright.
And the story still has some 'bad cheese', but compared to the original, it's incredibly subtle.

Overall, the author truly outdid himself and he says this is 'worked less' than the original. His ***!
Great job, please keep doing just as good while still improving, may your 3rd chapter be better or just as good, make no mistakes you did on the first one.

A stunning, perfect mod. It is a very nice and flawless sequel to the original ALND with new creative ideas (including a custom monster!) and some mind blowing plot twists!

I enjoyed every bit of it, including the "ending room" in which DeAngelo shows his creations and talks a little bit about them and where he got the inspiration from. The custom content added in total is also very good, and I loved having to search through the house's maps in order to find something that didn't quite fit.

Just like the first part, it is mostly a story-driven mod with lots of emotional ups and downs, which means I would not recommend it if you want a jumpscare fest, though it does have its fair share of creepiness and eerie tension. I think that overall this mod is scarier than the first one. The only thing I didn't quite like (but this comes down to personal taste) was the mod's length. It would be so much better if there was more space for the story's unraveling and for building some extra anticipation.

Nothing more to say. You are awesome DeAngelo! A solid 10/10. I am quite sad to see that you are leaving Amnesia, but I guess it's only reasonable seeing as how the community of this game is not exactly dying, but always declining. Good luck in whatever you may decide to do next, and thank you for creating such an awesome mod!

It came way later than expected, that is for sure. The creator is good, I know it, he knows it, everybody should know it. That is all, I guess questioning few imperfections here and there is beside the point. I wonder
what to expect next. Cheers.

This CS is phenomenal. Great atmosphere, great subtle spoops, good sound, good story and great sequences. I wish it was much longer. Amazing job.

It's near perfection, maybe little more work and maybe a little longer and I would give you a 10.

Anyway, I freaking loved this one, that "Painting scare is so intense and my scariest moments, you managed really get me crying at the corner and hoping not to lose my mind completely. Awesome job on that one, really unique and scary as hell.

I enjoyed whole experience, you managed create something so refreshing and new, couple moments was like jaw dropping, those walls falling down and all the spikes and events, I was so confused how you made all this awesomeness still and surprise advanced players who are desperately trying and dying to see something new and you really got me.

I envy your skills, you are one of the greatest scripters and now I see how much work you put on this, despite it was in my opinion short, but so enjoyable and amazing and overall so breathtaking, I loved it that much. Bravo!

Pos:

- New styles and events
- Puzzles
- Scary events and unique parts
- Story
- Music
- Intense moments ex. (chasing)

Neg:

- Wish a little longer and even longer ending

Well, that's about it, I wish continuation and even more kind of these moments, I miss them and I want MORE! :D

9/10 - Unique sequel like any other

I loved A Late Night Drink. This is even better. I have never seen a custom story that is so unique and creative. Things happen that I didn't even know were possible in the Amnesia engine. Definitely worth the wait. Disclaimer: The developer is a very close friend of mine, but that doesn't make my review any less true. Just thought it important to mention.

I actually prefer this one over the original ALND, because while being creative and original like the first one, it succeeded in being scary as well. As you acknowledge yourself, level design is your weakness. If you had someone helping you out on that, plus got yourself a few VAs, your stories would be 10/10s.

10

Even more unique and interesting.

Posted this in the comments, posting here as well: So, first things first. This isn't supposed to be hate, but it IS going to have some criticism (judging by the end game note, it really seemed like you couldn't take criticism all that well.) I know this mod was free, and thank you for that, but just like the end game note(s) stated, this sequel sucked compared to ALND. It felt kinda rushed, it lacked the charm that ALND had, and what really ****** me up was how fast the immersion was ruined. The "racist bigots" remark felt not only out of place as hell, but it didn't feel like it came from Vincent, but straight from you. You're allowed to feel like how you want to, but don't just force that **** into what's supposed to be an immersive experience. All the obvious nods to Markiplier's Tiny Box Tim low key ruined the immersion as well. I enjoy Mark too, been watching since 2013, but that was ridiculous seeing all the tiny boxes. The dream sequences were cool and the monster was terrifying, but not enough to redeem the once promising sequel. If you make a third, I truly hope you take some of these into consideration. There was some more I wanted to say, but truthly, I forgot. Thank you again for both ALND and this.
