Tour of Black Mesa is a Half-Life 2 total conversion giving you free roam around the Black Mesa Research Facility before the incident that changed everything. Taking the place of Dr. Breen you begin the game in your dorm. Since you are the administrator you get complete access to the whole facility. We are converting every addon to the source system and filling in all of the blank spots to create the entire grounds of the facility.
Multiplayer is also planned to be incorporated into the mod by creating unique scenerios; breaking in to Black Mesa, deathmatch, and even a plain old tour. :)
Do not mistake this for a Half-life source, this mod takes place before the world was enslaved.

As must of you may have noticed TBM has been down for a pretty long time now. I am deciding to close this project, not because of lack of interest but because we failed to gain enough workers to deliver this mod in a reasonable amount of time. Even though I have repeatedly posted help wanteds and gone on different forums to get mappers, I still didn't get emails. Don't even get me started on the texture artist.....
Working on a mod has shown me that there are a great number of people out there who can not be depended on. Every time we would recruit a person he/she would either drop out of sight or come back to me a couple weeks later telling me they didn't do the assigned task. At our prime we had 9 people working on the mod, 3 of them either put me on their block list or made a new username or something because I never saw them again, 2 of them had to quit because of shcool or some other personal reason, 1 of them turned out to be working for another mod which I guess was more important, and now we are back to 3 people. If you are planning on creating a mod I warn you to make sure everyone is pulling their weight or you may experience drop outs.
I wish we could continue working on this mod but our efforts would be fruitless without others to back us up.

This actually sounds awesome. Too bad its dead.
Someone (or the creators) should resurrect this mod! I would, but my mapping, coding and modelling skills leave much to be desired.
