007 Quake II is no longer a "Quake II" mod. With the engine source released, the engine that 007 Quake II uses is very different and advanced. You won't think you're playing Quake II any more. 007 Quake II does not require Quake II to be installed, or owned, it is a completely free game for non-commercial use.

If it's 007 Quake 2 and it doesn't require Quake 2 and it's not a mod for Quake 2 then don't call it 007 Quake 2.

The profile is lacking info on the updates, misinformingly implying a hijacking

The Quake II source code has been released under the GNU Public License, how can that imply a hijacking? :P

The Quake II source code does not indicate a released trademark of Quake II, this is why id software retroactively renamed their technology to 'id tech #', and 007quake2's data isn't gpl and is still copyrighted.
