Hi! I am Manu. I am a huge fan of the UA Mod and, well, basically PC games of course. I have played many mods and i always try to support Developers if the product and intentions are worth it!

Heat of Battle: RUSH

Mod review

It's impossible to run.

It's just a buggy and poorly developed copy of UA

Stainless Steel

Mod review

Graphically the mod enhances the units, but that is pretty much it, nothing else. The map is now GIGANTIC which gives a lot of options when it comes to exploration and replayability.
The setup gives u a lot of options to enhance the gameplay experience, so you may play more realistically or simpler.
Now, let me tell u why i just don't find the game enjoyable at all.
Battles and army conscription.
Economically the games is easier, yes. But when it comes to creating armies, the games turns to be RIDICULOUS. Even the most basic units takes up to 5 turns to be re-spawned for u to recruit. Or it sucks all the gold the more you recruit... even if it is the most simple of the units in the game...
The building system between Castle and City makes basically no sense. And unlocking new units is a pain in the ***.
Now battles... oh dear... where do i start.
If TW is known for something, is the fact of giving u the option of unlocking better units as long as u progress, well, this mod doesn't reaaally care about that.
A simple mob can r**e (with not much difficulty) a group of Superior Cavalry or Feudal Knights.
The Battles are not so hard, these are just... not enjoyable. If the player uses militias, then u are f'd. But if the AI uses militias, then prepare your butt... Cause across the map the Empires will backstab you (no matter what installation or period of time u choose) for... no reason. Armies will dry your economy and will die easily just because. I seriously haven't enjoyed any of the 3 campaigns i started.
I must say the units look AMAZING, but that doesn't add much to the game when the AI can easily crush all of your effort and economy with infinite hordes of peasants or ultra elite armies recruited out of nowhere.
A funny example:
No backstab installation. I attack the Moorish to help France. Relation improves. Hungary declares war upon me, but then repents. I Destroy the Moorish Forces near the south coast of France. I do everything the Pope says. France betrays me and the Pope accuses me of starting a war. So France takes 2 cities and if i defend myself, then i am excomulgated. NOOICE!!!
I was able to ceasefire with France. I captured a few of their cities later, but they refused to give up. Magically HORDES of French super-mega-elite forces appeared... I was stunned knowing that i previously chose to play on standard difficulties. Never happened before on any mod nor TW game... Maybe in Europa Barbarorum, but there u at least got time to make an army to fight... and you were also allowed to FRIGGIN' retrain your troops god damn...
I honestly think the mod isn't awful but, man, it will take you TOO much time to actually understand it or catch it's pace if you are not used to play with mods. I feel it as Ol' M2TW but more complexity than doesn't fit.

Game review

Epic. A legend to remember, yesterday, today and tomorrow

Rise of the Reds

Mod review

This mod could be fantastic if it wasn't for the amount of unbalance it suffers. The team has added Russia and Europe as factions and what can i say... Russia is so weak while USA and Europe are tremendously OP. China has the same trouble than Russia, while the GLA feels pretty downpowered too.
I can save the mod by saying that the amount of content is notorious, really well done. I love the Russian Shock Troops, they look fantastic and so the tanks too... but this (tanks) are slow and weak AF.
Great mod in estetics and concept, i remember reading the story line, but since the development has been paused for many months and the mod is still this unbalanced, i just can't give it more than a 6. It's really cool when u see it... but not good when u play it (and i have been playing it since the 1.801)
This mod will be brutal when finished and will probably earn a 10

Muskets Of Honor

Mod review

No words. This is a MASTERPIECE. I've played many mods in my life, Europa Barbarorum, Ultimate Apocalypse THB, Cry of Fear, Rise of the Reds, Perisno Mod, FFUR '85 (2008) and so on, And this mod is simply as WORNDERFULL and memorable as the aforementioned! It makes the entire game better, consolidating a brand new era with balance for every country. The presicion of the nations with their correct voice acting (OMG THE VOICE ACTING), unit models and the culture itself make me feel deep within the age. The politics of KoH is something unique, WAY BETTER than Total War sagas. The Battles, omg, are SO balanced. Seriously, playing KoH was ridiculous, since the archers had all the advantage, and there was no tactics in real battles, all you had to do was mash all your troops and beg the computer to loose. NOW the strategy is something -real-. The sieges and use of cannons in general is so perfect, and i mean it. That moment when the enemy charges and the cannons start hitting them about a mile away... damn. Everything in this mod is perfectly done. Specifically the battles and the detail of the mod are SO cool. I cant stop playing it. I cant believe what i am about to say, but as a Fan of Total War games, i found this even more enjoyable than TW. KoH is one of the best game i've ever played, and it is a shame almost no one knows about it. This Mod is even better than the game itself, thanks for SO much effort! Greetings form Argentina!
