Try not moving your Deus Ex folder 'all the time'. Do you even computer?

Caught the end of a talk given by Warren Specter at PAXAUS today. It was pretty great.

Yep because it turns out the majority of them are too busy crying like babys instead of applying a very simple work around.

Or not being a total stinge and just buying the god damn game on steam.

This is a bug you run into when you are bad at Deus Ex because you died. Try being better and not dying and you should be able to avoid it.

The people who are complaining fit into the following profiles.

-They are the minority of current gen deus ex users and for the first time these people are,finding themselves in the minority group and because everything isnt being tailored directly to their tastes they cry.

-Their tiny brains are unable to process that having a 'click here if you already own this on steam to add it to your library' button is a convenience, not a lock in only way to do it.

-They will not purchase Deus Ex GOTY Edition on Steam for some reason they will try to tell you that you should stop using Steam for.

-In their blind self righteousness they jump into the bandwagon and repeat the same four comments their attention span allowed them to read.

-They are kiba999 and they would not shut the **** up until it was released and now they are showering it with the praise it deserves.

Look I know its a 15 year old game but you dont need to play it on a 15 year old monitor.

As someone whos been around the internet since dial up days I have seen my fair share of ****** behaviour on mod sites. This is pretty standard, get amongst it because a little known secret is that most of them are not trolls. Most of them genuinely get upset and have emotional reactions bassed on what goes on in these comments.

The initial spam of 1/10 reviews from people who are either hell bent on slamming it because they get their kicks that way and the people who are just unable to read and cant scroll down to the stand alone installer - only managed to drop the rating to a 5.1 at the lowest I saw it. Its climbing to 6.3 already and will continue to climb from there.

Manox93's review shows that they are an illiterate scrub spouting nonsensical dribble all because (presumably) when they saw the Steam button for the install their tiny mind combusted and they wrote their 1/10 review with tears streaming down their face. 93 is most likely their birth year making them 22. Supposedly thats old enough to be an adult and make decisions in the real world but all their behaviour on here shows they are woefully unprepared to handle real world issues seeing as they melt the **** down when they read a baseless rumour about a mod on a 15 year old game.

So to all the people who gave it a 1/10 review... Your tears are delicious and your reviews do no damage in the long run.

Explain in what way it is a 'steam exclusive'.

Well there is a stand alone installer provided so its not a steam exclusive at all. There is a convenient button for people who already own Deus Ex GOTY Edition via steam to install it with ease.

The initial spam of butt hurt 1/10s from people who are unable to read past the first few sentences to find themselves a link to the stand alone installer will be over shortly and the total rating will climb. Which it already is doing.
