Hey, not too sure if this is a glitch or if you guys simply haven't gotten this far with the mod yet, but I just installed it and the ship models are there no problem, and looking very nice might I add, but when it comes to buying the ships they are still shown as being the original stock game ships, making it difficult to know what I am buying hehe

keep up the good work in any case as this looks like its going to be awesome when its completed

Liking this mod so far man, really takes me back to the old days of watching massive ships duke it out.
Obviously since this is a demo you plan on doing more, so I really hope we see the Shivans soon.
Just some thoughts I have been having tho for potential improvements.
- Cap ships all have similar abilities, some variety would be good, for example, an overcharged beam attack - be good on the colossus class, do a massive amount of damage but beams shut down for a short time ? or Antimatter is completely drained as a result. Passive fighter improving ability, I think this actually exists as an ability in default sins on one of the carriers, so (ofc I am no modder) should be easy to transfer across to one of the cap ships. Passive armor/hull rep improvement ability or passive damage increase abilities, would be some good extra variations as all the abilities are pretty similar, and most cannot be levelled up meaning after like level 5, cap ships end up with lots of extra skill points unused.
Since freespace/2 was obviously a fighter heavy oriented game, I think the cap ships should gain an extra fighter slot per level, or 2 levels to reflect on that since the ships supposedly could house 100's of fighters, the hull on most cap ships doesn't increase per level, and also planetary bombardment is all currently the same, making the Hades for example, pretty useless as a siege engine.
I am sure, some or perhaps even all of this stuff may already be on your agenda, since its only a demo so far, if not tho, it may inspire some ideas in you.

jesus, loving the mod, but literately cannot fight the borg, 1 vs 1 on normal mode, and my fleet will go up against theirs, and after 2 minutes, half my fleet will be captured everytime, even with allies engaging with me, to many ships get captured to quickly, meaning losing is inevitable for me, maybe I am just crap at it or missing some brilliant tactic, but it just seems unbalanced, they can field a fleet the same size as mine, but the capture most of my fleet before I can destroy them, I know the borg are tough, but damn, I play the good guys, the good guys should win damnit !!?!
