ZE mod is not dead, General BlackDragon is continuing the development, as spAce has become busy working on more important things. The ZE mod version 0.6 has been available for the past, year or so. I will pickup where spAce left off and make improvements/bug fixes.

and, cobra01, the answer is No. spAce specifically told me that no one has permission to use anything from ZE mod in their own.

That's more than perfect ! You'll work for Lucas soon. I'd really wanto be in that world, inside one of those fighters.

Hehe, yeah. I once tried to understand how the heated sulphur of Io could be done with tileable textures for like 4 or 5 days.
This is the most detailed Io image that I found when I was trying to learn it. Zemod.com
My work with the Io ended up being morely like fantasy, an artistic version. I assume that you are using luminosity layers with those textures, right ?

And btw, I worked on planetary textures for 3,5 years. Maybe thats the reason why I started to tease you :D

I cant assosiate them with any real material.

Check our solarsystem's surfaces to see how rocks and ices form up. Study colors of different ices and rocks. Whatever athmospheric planet you are on, you see small rocks, sand, liquids, ices.. filling bottoms of ground. Use photographic material as much as possible. Use real world elevation data as much as possible.

Hate to say, but those look very unreal. Hopefully you make more photo-textures in the future.

If you are 3DS user, you can use XSI exporter plugin.
If you use some other 3D package, convert to X format and then use a program called Threed. You can find it from www.bz2scrap.com..
You should get stock XSIs from that site aswell, cause you gotta learn how BZ2 objects are done, you know, harpoints, hierarchies...

You can get more info from www.bzuniverse.com community forum. They can and will answer to every question there.

Yay ! Glad to see that people are interested in this !

Sadly there are no true strategy/1st person simulation hybrids under commercial (large scale) development, so civilians have to make their own entertainment. This ZEmod project was started in year 2002, much done, much to offer.

Things could be done much, much faster if there were good modding tools for BZ2. Currently it's a serious job to get all 3D stuff ingame, sooo much converting.
