When I download the demo it tries to start the Project Float.exe instead of the Project Float Demo.exe.

The Controls are as a previous comment stated, quite floating, in a bad way, maybe try to copy the acceleration curves from mario games?
This combined with the fact that enemies like snails are very unforgiving when it comes to precision, not a good factor, I would make the stomping of snails more forgiving.

I'd also like support for higher resolutions than 640x480, even just stretching it would be fine, though, higher resolution graphics would obviously help.

Well, I like the idea of having a decent rpg + plattformer, so I'm cheering for you to solve these issues and will be sure to check back on this project in a while. :) good luck

Seems like a solid game, but there is one single question that permanently comes to my mind:
Why can't I shoot up or in angles, like in basically every game you drew inspiration from?
Why can't I at least attack while in the air, at least the knife attack?

I think those two attributes are the only things that make this game less enjoyable than it could be, it really feels like I'm playing a character in this game, that when it comes to gameplay, wasn't made for this game.

My guess would be that it doesn't use vsync and thus renders as many frames as it can.
Go into the control panel of your graphics card and enforce vsync, see if it helps ^^

On another note, the playground area looks pretty dull and not really thought out compared to the playground in marble arena 1.
And there is a moving track in the playground level, but when you are on it, it doesn't seem to affect you at all, just an animated texture, isn't it supposed to move you?

Would it be possible to change the way the levels unlock a bit?
Some people dislike the battle variants, or the searching or the races, and favor other levels, getting the points from there can help them in levels they don't like as much.

My suggestion would be: Keep a total of 5 levels unlocked, this enables you to for example skip ahead to the 5th level, but not the 6th level etc. at one point you run out of levels you favor and you have to go back and solve those.

Also it would be nice to see our records in the level selection
