My fault, I should have guessed the old fix would cause problems - I took it out of my addons list and everything works as intended

Got everything working on a new test stalker and the ACE suit bug is coming up again, I still have the old fix applied but it no longer works

This problem might be outdated by now as I still haven't downloaded 2.0 but I found something that works for me, I disabled all bloom options in the menu aside from arcane bloom and it's pretty balanced aside from some shine here and there where it oughtn't be.

You have to turn off tessellation for that I think

Also I tried just overwriting with sidhud to begin with, the hud ends up glitched it's pretty ****

Found it:

anyone looking to get their HUD back easily including pda messages,
go in to gamedata/`configs/ui and delete maingame and _16,
maingame_pda_msg and _16, ui_custom_msgs, ui_hud, ui_keybinding,
ui/-sidhud_component.
hopefully this should help everyone whos looking to get back their
original hud and still have a working game, had to eventually try things
myself, no offence but the community in here are pretty much useless,
never answered one person about how to do this properly!!!

I got mine to work like that earlier today, hold on I'll see if I can find the post - you basically delete a bunch of files for the default hud and install sidhud over the top

There's a fix for that buried in the comments, I was having the same problem

I'm having an issue with food drink and drug animations, when I smoke a cigarette the game CTDs.

I installed an add on with a mod manager for my hud and it worked fine maybe try that?

Also in case it comes in handy, the tesselation trick one of the other commenters mentioned worked for me in the case of opening the inventory - still meaning to install the ACE suit fix but I've been playing other games the last few days

Nvm, I went back and checked I must've messed up somewhere else the video didn't include installation

I was quite careful with the instructions and ended up dropping the expedition folder into the anomaly directory to install, I think this is the source of my problem and some others here as well.

I found this mod through a youtube showcase and I'm pretty sure I used that fellas instructions for the installation, I'll try and find the video and post the title.

Ya same here, I can still use stashes and the like but as soon as I look in my backpack CTD - I hadn't noticed a pattern like that. Are you saying you have a way of making it go away temporarily?

I put in a CTD report a little while ago, it sounds like we're having the same issue but maybe you oughta as well if you haven't

To clarify I'm quite sure I installed correctly and I've got no addons installed, happens when I try to open my inventory or equip an ACE scientific suit but that might be because it's trying to open the inventory afterwards

Is a failure to launch the same form as a CTD? When I try to run it I get the diddledo windows sound after clicking play in the launcher and it closes.

I just tried it out and it works flawlessly and my problem is solved, is there a way to change back to vanilla inventory icons though? It looks wrong to me in a similar way to HD Outfit icons it sort of goes against the theme of all the other artwork for inventory icons

Will this fix the problem I've been having with the UMP and all it's variants? When I go to aim with a sight or scope attached it doesn't even come close to lining up, the view is way off to the side

Wherever I try to place a campfire in the small room on the roof of the sport centre in Dead City it says "Surface does not suit".

I managed to place a fire down in there when I first installed the mod but now it won't let me do it again.
