Not something I can judge without a saved game but the mechanic seems to be working fine in my tests.

Can you post a link to this list? At the moment need to devote all my efforts to getting 1.25 finished and released, but after that I'm open to suggestions.

Are you using 1.24.1 or the 1.25 beta? Their saved games are not compatible with each other.

There's a few tweaks here and there by me, but otherwise it uses the K-Mod AI on Windows and the standard BTS AI on macOS. Realism Invictus has a heavily modified AI of its own.

Railroad Station: not possible, the AI could not cope with such a mechanic.

Residential Complex: maybe, but not with that effect. There's already enough sources of happiness.

Chicken Farm: Industrialization of food production could definitely be represented better in HR. I have some plans, but for after 1.25.

Forts on Improvements: not possible.

Pearls: Maybe. I'd do it via allowing Shellfish to be gathered via Fishing Boats (for food, as currently) or Harvest Boats (for commerce, as an alternative).

Seals: Already in game.

Arctic Cities: I have medium-term plans to create a climate system for HR. Will consider this as part of that.

Both of these issues will be addressed in 1.25.

Railroads don't increase tile production in HR but they can increase the yield of mines and quarries. Likewise, highways can increase the commerce of oil wells, workshops, and towns. This is a much more balanced approach than just spamming routes everywhere. The AI isn't smart enough to cope with pollution-causing routes, so again, I leave this to the improvements that these routes connect to.

Adding the various routes to the pedia is on my todo list.

You'll need to edit the XML to reduce barbarian frequency or power. Not enough space to provide full details here but if you go to CivFanatics and search there you should find the info you need. It's the same process in HR as it is in regular BTS. If you're having no luck, leave a post in the HR forum (https://forums.civfanatics.com/forums/mac-win-civ4-history-rewritten.448/) and I can help you out.

That save file problem could be due to memory issues, but there are also some bugs in 1.24.1 that can cause a similar problem. I believe I've fixed the worst ones in the 1.25 beta, but I'm still hunting down the rest. I'll need more information though. Please get in touch over on the HR forum.

If you go into the Mod Settings panel (Cog button in top left of screen), then to the Scoreboard page, there is an option to hide dead civilizations.

Each Monastery requires you to have built a certain number of Temples before they can be constructed. The number varies by mapsize and by Tenet choice.

Hmm. That stage can take a bit of time, sometimes up to a minute, but if it is frozen it's usually because an error message has popped up somewhere. Check if it's not behind another app or on another space or something. Regardless, it's probably an installation issue, check this thread for solutions: Forums.civfanatics.com

Make sure BTS is set to English. I'm unable to support other languages at this time.

If that doesn't fix it, check this post for more solutions: Forums.civfanatics.com

Known issue: Opening the city screen for a city that generates no culture causes an undismissable error.

If you set that map up via 'Custom Scenario' you can have up to 18 civs. More than that requires adding a custom DLL to bypass the hard-coded limit. It's possible, but I don't recommend it as it will increase the likelihood of memory problems.

I've discovered a bug where Ctrl-C doesn't work if it's a Barbarian unit causing the problem. I'll get an update before too long with a fix for this and other issues. In the meantime you can still enter the WorldBuilder and try find the offending unit that way (use the Units+Cites page).

If you like, post a link to your saved game and I'll see if I find the offending unit and get it unstuck for you.

This is a nasty bug in BTS itself. Becomes more apparent in large mods like HR. In most cases its caused when an AI unit gets stuck in an endless loop of joining and leaving a selection group. Naval units are particularly susceptible to it. I can't fix the bug but I've implemented a way to break out of it: hit Ctrl-C (Windows) or CMD-C (OS X). You'll see a debug message and hopefully you'll get control back shortly.

Slavery is in the base game, as a labour civic. It's a labour civic in History Rewritten too, with slightly different effects. Certain civilizations also have a unique unit that can enslave defeated enemies as workers.

There's been a lot of rebalancing and redesigning, but combat is still ultimately about stacks of doom. Changing that would require rewriting most of the AI. I'm not aware of any BTS mods that have made combat changes that extensive, or if it is even possible.
