Im a modder.. It's what i do, Every game i have has been disassembled in one form or another and repacked to "my" preferences.. if it isn't.. it gets quickly forgotten. My main focus the past few years has been on Freelancer, but i make mods for everything i like ie: D3, Stalker, SW-JKA, NWN1&2, morrowind.. the list goes on. I started out with HL2 and a "hammer".. might just get back to that one day.. as it was a pretty cool little mod with mighty awesome maps. then i lost my net.. and steam access (half way through an update when the line got "hit" by lightning) and such gravitated towards Freelancer and started what would now become X.L.R. My favorite thing in life though is collecting resources.. textures, models.. anything really.. nice to have "options" for the future and future mods.. kinda like a insane digital bowerbird.. hehe think I've filled this box with enough nonsense for the day.. this is me.. i like to mod...

Delete/move your existing savegames :-)as they will conflict with XLR's new controls (roll..ect)

BTW.. this mod is defunct/redundant and is under re-construction, but thanks anyways for the try, she's a nice mod.. when it's being nice, but it's bug ridden i know & slightly "bloated" from years of coding in the dark without the proper information (not to mention 4 major re-works).

Think of it more as a experiment into new things.. other than a workable/stable & finalized mod.. then you may just actually get a kick outa it.. for ease of testing/playing you can jump systems in SP with the console.. add cash, store ships on bases.. ect just type help in console (hit enter in SP.. same as MP) for info messages

Sory about the delay here.. I've been away.. but i think i spoke to you on SW:WT did i not?

You can do what you will with the build that is here.. It's a vastly overblown monster.. but still heaps of fun nonetheless.

Im making a newer, smaller mod atm from all the best bits of XLR minus all the extra sci-fi bloat(well it was)& unused files & there are many in the version here)

even though im not actively working on this build anymore.. my comunication lines are still very open (PM/my forum.. ect) and will help you where I can.

& yes the ENB can prove problematic on certain system setups, there is detailed info on how to turn it off somewhere in the readme if i can recall.. if not.. then just switch the =1 to =0 in the config.ini's (enb) uptop where it says use effect.. in fact.. play with it a bit.. your problem may be the SSAO or shadowing settings.. & not the bloom itself, as stated in many a previous post on the matter.. it wasn't ever meant for FL.. the one i use is meant for GTA-VC.. higly experimental stuff.. & should be treated as such :-)

Thanks Bubb9, thats basicly the idea at the moment.. getting all the new stuff working properly, then moving to the aesthetic stuff like infos & trade fixes.

@ Taretburt.. um.. no I will not be adding the normandy, ME is a good game but still yet to be proven as a classic.. & everyone wants a normandy in their mod.. i really don't care for it. Im more than happy enough with the ships i have in the "still working on" Lab from Sol & Kreeargh. + with Asgard & epsilon ships as well... I think your all well looked after for "choice" lol.

Oh.. & the next person to point out any obvious problems as a downside to a BETA is gonna get a slappin with a wet fish, nowhere here states this is a finished work!.. so it just amuses me when its pointed out "you missed a spot".. & you just look silly to everyone else that can overlook the little nigles and see the whole picture.

& there is absolutely NO NEED to copy each and every file one by one.. Um.. that's a little insane.. even for me, one can easily move the DATA folder over the DATA folder knowing the file structure is firmly intact.. Its how i mod.. i don't use FLMM in my work.. i don't trust it to be honest.

now if anyone else is having leveling up/cash problems .. here's a quicktip (cheat)..

Enter the console (same as MP) type
cash +10000000
that'll give u 10mill.. and so forth but beware of the 1billion limit for SP as going over will put your cash in reverse (standard problem within the engine)

there are also 5mill missions out there.. & mining new materials (solaxium, xarcanium ect) can reap huge profits if in a decent trader

for more info on the SP console type "help" and read the instructions provided by Adoxa.. tons of new stuff to play with there including system jumping, ship garage.. & costume switching (amongst other things)

&.. seriously folks.. if you have a problem.. ask me! its a much nicer way to go about it that telling me its crap compared to another mod..

I have tried most mods available.. including RB.
Been into FL since its release, so spare me your advertising about what i should and shouldn't play..

Sory its not 4 u.. Sory im the only Bastard working on it.. Sory for releasing this on ModDB so Freelancer had another hit for the votes a few months back.. as that's the ONLY REASON WHY ITS HERE.

That said.. Anyone else wanna poke me this week.. im in a GREAT MOOD!!!

there is a FLMM script for activation there in the mod..
you can't dock because you need the hotfix.. available at the XLR forum's front page news (as stated here) give me a few mins.. & that will be replaced with the proper patch.. as i only just finished making it.

now to explain a bit.. you start in a basic ship.. with the very basics, if your truly stuck use the new SP-console (hit enter ingame) to cheat to your hearts content. Some bases were locked as a test.. you need CRC passes available at major house planets to gain access.

the entire mod is a testbench, she was never meant to be easy.. nor is it 100% stable, hence the "beta" status attached to the build. a new mod is being built at the moment from this one.. the patch will be the last for this incarnation of XLR.

Now.. tell me more on this +5 hour install?? on my old machine (P4 1.6g 256mb "relic".. nice doorstop though..) it took about 10 mins to overwrite manually, 15 for FLMM .. on my new monster it takes about 3-5 mins (under vista with UAC turned off) very curious as to how you went about loading her.. & why it took so long.

Anyone having docking problems let me know via email.. or other method, patch is coming soon, but i can send a quickfix before that if needed ;)

BTW:.. its because i split the shiparch.ini into 3.. game gets confused as to what docks where after the 1st shiparch (custom ships effected mainly)if your savy.. rebuild the shiparch files back into 1.. and alter Freelancer.ini to reflect.. or just wait on the patch.. ;)

At moment its Open SP.. but im looking at releasing a storyline
addon in the near future, its still being worked out & tested for
any conflicts.
