One more matter involving Hiei.....rebuild cost in event states 1.5 IC for 2 years. In game it costs the same as buying a new ship of an obsolete type (Type I BC) at 6.49 IC. Would be helpful to fix that as Japan is rather IC starved compared to other major powers.

Some more items I've discovered while playing as Japan:
1)Japan starts with the 4 Kongo class battlecruises, one of which (Hiei) was deactivated under the terms of the Washington Naval Treaty. It's an active unit from day 1.
2) An event fires which allows you the option of reactivating the BC Hiei and modernizing her like her sisters. When complete, Hiei becomes a type IV BC......but her 3 sisters are all type Is.....somethings not right there.

Two things,
1) What are the specific uses for seaplane tenders in game? They are slow moving, slow to build (a bit expensive too!), and are of apparently limited utility. About the only use I see would be as a part of the convoy escort pool. They low speed makes them useless otherwise.
2)Are CVE's modeled in game? Allied CVE's were usually modeled off the Liberty ship hull. They were slow, but cheap and quick to convert for use.

I've still been experiencing a lot of CTD's on saving the game manually, never on an auto save (yearly). I've deleted the logs again, and have never had a problem with the music as I play with it turned off. I went to the shortcut on my desktop, right clicked, and selected "properties"; then "compatability". I have run the compatability trouble shooter and have allowed it to make a few changes (I'm running Windows 10). I'll let you know how things work out, although I won't be testing the Soviets again until I've ironed this out. There's too much crap to sort out before even unpausing the game for the first time. 99 interceptors to start out, a damned TIE fighter swarm.

I have 16GB of RAM on a 1 year old ASUS gaming laptop. 64 bit system with Windows 10. ASUS G751JT Intel I7 8 CPUs @2.5Ghz. Everything's up to date. Hell, I've actually started Italy 3 times, just to have a look at them, I click save and CTD everytime.

Whenever I start a new game, playing as any country for the first time, I get a CTD the instant I save the game. I've had to get into the habit of doing this right away, so I can restart the game and go on from there. Any idea what causes this? I have the extra RAM allocated as the setup instructions require, but still experience this every time.

I'm having a major problem with the game so far. About 50% of the time when I click "save game", I get CTD'd, which of course corrupts the save file. Thus all the work I put in gets wasted. Is there a way to fix this? It's quite frustrating.

Ah, I recall seeing PBBs on the flotilla build list, though I haven't tried building any. Would there be any chance of adding Q-Ships to the build table? Germany starts with one, auxiliary cruisers can add a bit of flair of their own to convoy raiding. They should also be able to transport some low weight units. It would be a useful way to deploy small commando type units from ships which are very hard to detect.

I'm on my first full play through as Germany with this mod (which seems awesome btw!), but I believe that I've found a bug with the pocket battleships. It is only effecting those 3 ships, (Deutschland, Scheer, Graf Spee) in that if they are merged with another fleet, you cannot remove any of them to another fleet. You can pull out all the other ships in the fleet to form a new one, but forever after all the pocket battleships must operate together. I've actually played the first 18 months or so in two other games, and the same thing has happened as I have been learning the mechanics of the mod. I'd like to be able to deploy those ships normally. Is this a known error? I'm playing version 8.4.

I enjoy this mod more than any of the others atm, though I also like the Fox and the Lion, and WWI mods as well. I've been experimenting with the customized start for the game. I am wondering if it would be possible to completely reset the Operational Choice for the country you choose? At current with Italy, for example, I MUST use the first tick of Grand Battle doctrine. I'd like to be able to change this to another in the custom setup. Changing your Land Tech tree would be welcome as well. Thank you for your time and attention.
