I've only watched Let's Play videos of this, but it seems pretty good.
Although i would suggest working more on atmosphere and less jump scares.
And a lot of the scares seem to be so unrelated to the backstory that it feels like it's a haunted house at a carnival. Just all-purpose general SPOOKY stuff.
And it would make sense to be able to have the house lit properly, at least at the start. You could have the power go out or something.
And I'm not sure how sleeping works in this; The dude goes to bed, then wakes up the next night? Is he a nocturnal hermit? Well, he is an artist so i guess that's plausible.
But he isn't at all fazed by everything going on, and there isn't a good reason why he won't/can't leave the house.
Last thing: It would really heighten the immersion if you could explore the house during the day. Because IF you can make it as tense and SPOOOOKY during the day as at night, you would have done a really great job with horror.
okay i'm done
Perhaps they are placeholder sprites?
what the balls
Wow, I really respect your response to this public reaction, it's very responsible of you.
Hmmm, disabling Crossfire allowed me to run the game, but there was a frequent flickering..
It might, co-op would be bringing something new, though I'm not sure it would be enough. If you just added some more content that is different from SCB, I think that would definitely be fine.
You might want to somehow clear the reviews if you update this, so that they won't be irrelevent/misleading to the new version.
I would definitely change my rating if some orginality was brought to the game.
3079 now requires super computer to run.
I don't see the point of this, the only people it's hurting is Desura and French Rice Games. The proper purpose of the Black March is to not purhase from/support MAJOR, MAINSTREAM corporations.
But, erp, would having a Linux Desura client actually allow more games to be played on Linux? Or are you thinking that it would just encourage more games for Linux?
