It's telling me the file in invalid, no matter how many times I download it. Anyone else have this problem?

The game will not start up. It gets to the company logo and then freezes. At this point the computer tells me the program isn't responding and I have to close out. I bought this off the Groupies bundles and ran the update process. Nothing else. Is anyone else having this problem?

It can run HL and some other mods of it a-okay. It's just this one where it gets a bit laggy.

"Cry of Fear Stand Alone"? As in it won't need HL1 to work? That's be awesome. Will that mean things will run smoother?

It says there's a virus on this game.

Is the start-up with the elevator noises before the first level supposed to be completely black and then end in a static box you have to walk out of? Aside from that, the game so far works fine, aside from a misspelling of "remember" a small ways into the 1st level, which I'm currently on.
