If you still have the experience even after you did the edit in the config file, thats strange. Did you actually edit the .cfg in the mods` "players" folder or may you have edited it in the one in the "main" folder?
I can tell you one thing, I`m still on W7 and I use the international version. The game`s version should not be the issue but you never know. About the issues with the newer windows, cant help you with that.

Wow thats not good, I wouldnt know what to do for you as I`m still on W7. I hope someone`s out there to help resolve that issue.

The game doesnt run or cant you install it?

Not possible due to issues with bolt-action rifles.

Temp fix (cheat) to resolve the mission select menu problem;
Start the game, go to the mission select menu. Open console (~).
Type developer 1 and press enter.Now two buttons have been unlocked;
Unlock and reset. Click the unlock button and all missions will appear.
Than type developer 0 in console and press enter, again.
Now all missions are available.

Excuse my to step in but getting a runtime error is a non-critical game error, in principle.
Try checking if your logfile is disabled before removing anything, first. Why? Because its easy and might save you alot of trouble. Start the game, open console (~) and type logfile. You will see if its on or off. 1 or 0. Set it to 0.

Finally some positive thoughts from two guys...Great things ARE coming to those who wait just a bit longer. Its not dead...

I have to agree with PlusIce one one thing, MCh took on a ****-load of work on to himself, while studying for a college degree. He has gotten his degree and is now working long ours to pay some bills.Also, the mod has come a great way. So all this negative bull is quite insulting to him, I can imagine. Yes and I also did all the work for my mod while working and taking care of my family. Sometimes not appreciated, at all, I can say.
The only difference between my mod and his is I made some or huge steps and made a release version or update everytime, he wants to release the whole mod at once. We are still working for you, so wait...or not.

I hope that with the new version the error doesnt show up so often.A regular way to get rid of the error, for some people at least, is to check the game`s integrity through steam.If you have an illegal copy of the game, I cant help you.

-No, I cannot change all the weapons`specs because changing too many weapon files creates more errors.It is not because of the modding itself but how the game handles mods.Somehow the mod tools/ game cache or whatever causes errors when running mods.

Yes,it most certainly does.I own the full version including all dlc`s on steam,no ban it being a real mod based on and created with the mod tools.
So no hacks concerning online connection through steam, no instant level 50 or xp hacks, etc.Only disadvantage is that it being a real mod is that you dont level up.
You will have to unlock all items first in the original game and make 50.000, if you then switch to the mod you can purchase all items while your money stays at 50.000 ;)

download the .zip file.
open the .zip and put the folder "mp_uct" in the call of duty black ops/mods/ folder.
Run the game,go to mods and load mp_uct.

Remove the hunkusage.dat file and the savegame.svg files from the game or mod folder.LEAVE the config.cfg files in PLACE.
Start a new game/level.

Italian weapons,yes.
Italian troops,no,maybe later if Mch decides to do it.

Not engine-wise but you could add sweetfx or enb series or even a combination of both to make things look a whole lot better,though.

No,as already said our mod is to bring much more intense, realistic and full battle experience.
The point is to show the war from the other side,that the germans lost the war does not mean they lost every battle.

Of course he`s feeling a bit pressured.Mostly not because of unreasonable comments but because he wants to deliver you all something beautiful and perfect.As with many people, time is a problem because of study or work.Real life is also quite a biggy :)
I must say I`m not the one in a position to promise anything as in when it comes out but I rekon he`s working on a release in the near future.

However,lets not forget what time it is right now...I wish to you all a merry christmas and although I dont pray to a god or allah I pray that the suffering of all children, never mind their race or ethnicity will end and they all can be spoiled brats whining about video games, just like us.

But pray for me, too as I`m turning 40 on Januari, 3rd ;)
