OK so, done a complete fresh install and painstakingly copied all mod files from my old directory (made a backup of it first) one by one, testing a randomised item seed generation after each file transfer. At no point did it give the jewel error, and ive now copied all the extra files i had in my old directory across to the new, and its still no longer giving the jewel error. So god knows what was causing it on the old install .....

just a final point, is it supposed to be japanese text on the inventory screen "equip, check, combine" box? Mine is japanese despite not having enable japanese ticked on the classic rebirth config menu.

with item randomisation switched off it makes a seed, but that is one of the main attractions of these randos is item randomisation .... All other options unticked for experiment still resulted in the same 2nd red jewel error message

still getting the infuriating "cannot place 2nd red jewel" message with every re2 non door rando seed i try. the above is just one example it says it in, but it does it with every non door rando re2 seed.

Hi Intelorca. Got a crash on re3 seed R730-H19Z-XXHH4HM5Z9Y000QJZZZZZZZ1ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. After healing the virus and regaining control of jill again (randomized to cvx chris) went out of the save room door and it crashed and closed instantly. If it's any help the f6 health bar
number temporarily jumped to over 4000 half a second before it closed.

Whenever i try to randomise an re2 seed, it always says cannot place 2nd red jewel, try another seed. Is this a known bug? I cant do any re2 randos. Others are fine

Hi, whenever I press the 3 dots to browse to directory the tool buffers for 2 seconds then just closes. happens when ran as administrator or not. It works

Edit: it works if I manually enter. does it not work with seamless hd files? it keeps telling me it cant place 2nd red jewel with each seed i try to randomize.

Edit edit: if i select randomize doors it doesnt say any error

hi. for the sourcenext download there are no instructions for setting it up. just 2 folders full of stuff??? also while extracting it I keep getting an error; interrupted action, 0x80004005: unspecified error. Any ideas???

make sure you've ticked "always boot in config mode" when you first start the game with classic rebirth. delete the config file to do your initial setup again.

Now that's odd. I remember distinctly the powders were in the Chapel, and one of them was the shotgun with 1 round, but none were the gear. Maybe there's a crossed wire somewhere? There was no silver gear in my latest hard seed either. Keep having to use debug.

Oh and another thing to add, on the hard difficulty you always still get a piece of AR ammo with 30%, and if you pick the route where Carlos hands you 6 flame rounds when you've placed all the cables car bits in, it's always still the 6 rounds.

hey duke. just to let you know a couple of things. the 3 items at the bottom of the card key elevator at the end (2x G rounds and the rocket launcher behind the barcode key locker) are not randomised in any difficuty seed. I was able to beat last nemmy on hard seed with the 4 rockets lol. also I seemed to have had a clock tower softlock where none of the items were the silver gear (I know all game item placements like the back of my hand) so had to use debug to get it. There was also a random shotgun in the clock tower (maybe in place of the missing silver gear) and a random western custom in the factory on that same hard seed. I have the seed log if you need it sent to you.

How feasible is a code veronica x rando? ..

are the old version shortcuts on the desktop redundant now with this newest version? the ones that it setup when you ran the old version update. I want to tidy the directory up a bit and would help if I can remove the stuff that's no longer needed.

Yes I had all boxes ticked so random dialogue.

just had a crash with my first randomized seed of version 1.2. Came back into dining room after first zombie corridor. barry was rebecca, she killed the zombie and just before the rest of the dialogue finished it froze and the characters wouldnt move. had to f9 to quit game.

Is your re1 rando available re-duke? Seen a few playing it kn streams but cant find anything on here to download for it. Or is it just circulated to a handfull of streamers for now?

any advice on how to stream this via obs? I can get the client to record but when the game starts i cant alt-tab out to set a 2nd source for the in game capture.

Ok, new weird thing happened on my new seed just now. got to the lab and in the main lab part where you put the main fuse in, sherry was randomly in the area following me about with the usual "I cannot leave sherry alone" message when I tried to go through doors while too far from her. I had to do the usual walk up to her to get her to stand up before I could leave the room.

I missed last update, will installing 1.6 update also do all the 1.5 fixes? or do I need to download them both?

Sorry should've mentioned, sherry was randomized as marvin, and with claire in the changed clothes from the special key closet. The torso for claire was missing, and after the first line of dialogue was when the crash occurred continually.

Will sending the seedlog be enough? Or should i send the Rdt folder to you via email?

Oh and i dont know if this has been reported but the 4 zombies munching on the corpse next to the entrance to the coach, they have weird movements and if you get bitten by them it gets locked in a crashed animation of being bitten and nothing responds (have to quit the game)

Just had another crash on the lab train after birkin fight with sherry laid on the yellow train car bed. Claires torso was missing and during the cutscene just before claire is about to carry sherry to the lab monitor room it just crashes and you literally need to ctrl, alt, delete or tab out to reset it. Claire had her clothes changed btw using special key etc

can I just ask, are you supposed to just use the mo disk at the end and not bother with the vaccine? I ask because I got the mo disk early but decided to check the other items first and triggered the annette cutscene. It then would not let me through the door to final birkin without doing the vaccine part, but there was no lab keycard to access the room neccessary to do it. I had to use debug inventory to manifest the lab keycard.

Was I just supposed to go through the final birkin room door before triggering the annette cutscene? If I was then fair enough, if I was supposed to do the vaccine art then I had a softlock with no keycard found.

Ok. So it seems my old download had a faulty .exe, new one works fine thank you.

right ok this is strange. So I tried to download from another mirror to try another way to get it to work and noticed the new download was version 1_0_2. the version it downloaded 2 days ago when i did it first time was called version 1_0_1.

the new download (version 1_0_2) seems to be working fine, I just have 1 question. There seems to be only rofs 1, 6, 11 and 15 dat files on the new version 1_0_2 download, Will this cause performance problems or crashing halfway through the game? or is there supposed to be only those 4 rof dat files?

I have had start from desktop and from the C: drive, and copied the files to the D: drive and played it from there, still doesn't solve it. I have ran it from intergrated gpu, and dedicated gpu, still doesnt solve it. I have disabled windows defender, still doesnt solve it. I have just done a total fresh install of both oe re3 sourcenext and the mod files on the D: drive, still doesnt solve it. Whatever I try it just wont go past "farewell to my life, farewell to my home". I waited months for the full release of this and I can't believe it's doing this to me :(. Every other mod I have ever played worked fine, including your Origin of species mod. Why is this one doing this .... Is there really nothing else you can think of? can it be a bug you are not seeing? ...
