That's weird...
Personally, I find the DE rather strong as they are now, both playing as them and against them.
As them, it's fairly easy, actually, just spam Harpies and you'll tear appart infantry and vehicles alike - or Trueborn Warriors, which are still earlier than what you described. I wreck everything with either one of those.
Against them, I'm kinda ashamed to admit that I have yet to find a viable counter, since they completely overwhelm me early game. Maybe I'm just especially vulnerable against them as I main Imperial Guard...
Then again, I had a few matches where I managed to keep them in check pretty well, but they still were able to completely crush my friends assault on their ally (he had almost finished him off already - and I was keeping the pressure on the DE)and turn the tables on us.
We're playing on Harder difficulty, with +10 pop cap and Game Enders Resctrictions, btw, nothing else stat changing.

Might I suggest making the units more durable in general? Or at least all vehicle-type units? I found Skirmishes to be rather tedious with my units getting destroyed before they even got close to the enemy base.

Yes, indeed you can
For use, simply right-click on the game in your Steam window -> "Properties" -> "Set Launch Options" and then enter "MODPATH=Mods\" (without the "" of course) and after the \ copy-paste the mod folder name, most likely "Mass_Effect _1.4" - yes, I'm aware of the additional space, it took my a while to realize it was there in the default folder name, which hindered me from playing this mod for a long time

I agree. Change the lights to orange and this would fit the Collectors, though. Seeing as they are kind of included in the Geth/Reaper faction, this might not be such a bad idea.

During the download or during the actual Installation?
The former would be some error on your side probably, you might try uding another browser.
The later would have been addressed in the download description or the installation instrauctions, meaning: you can't use it to download Iquisition Daemonhunters for you. Actually, you're better off installing all seperate mods (meaning IDH, Daemons and Tyranids) yourself and unchecking them in the installer.

First of all, this mod is for Soulstorm, which is not part of the GOTY Edition, but a separate expansion.
And second, you can find the download under the files section. It's an installer, so just execute it, but don't forget to look at the required files, which in turn can be found in the description of the download.

Simply use the NT Core 2.0 - well, if you're running the game on Steam, that is. It does even more than just the RAM trick, but that stuff goes over my head.
If you're running the retail version, then yes, it's highly recommended to do the RAM trick.

First: This mod is currently more or less on hold while Lord Cylarne is on vacation, so there is not much sense in posting someting like that at the moment.
Second: I believe there is a Forum thread for these kinds of things, at least there is one for units.
Third: It's highly unlikely that sub-factions of any kind will be implemented. At the very least, it will not be in the near future. There've been countless posts about Steel Legion, Death Korps of Krieg, the different Ordos of the Inquisition, etc. and none of them have been approved as of yet. (Unless you count the Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor, who was added to SoB, but they're no standalone race/developement choice, like the chaos marks)

Well, the game itself is pretty old by now, so usually you should be just fine with whatever you have.
BUUUUUUUT it WILL get laggy, no matter how good your rig is, simply because the game is so old. The engine can't handle the amount of troops you see in this mod.
So, in short, if you keep the population limit low, you will be fine, otherwise you'll have to endure the lags.

To bring some balance into this discusion, IMO they have been worse. First and foremost, I am playing on harder difficulty. There was a time, when I - like you - manually removed (though I believe there was some game-breaking bug involved as well).
However, I only have problems with Daemons, when they go Slaanesh. Seriously, they just spam Daemonettes, both normal and favoured, while those insanely resilient Fiends rip everything apart.
Still, everything else poses not much of a threat.
Which faction do you usually play, maybe I can give you a few tips.
That being said, I feel like Eldar are extremely weak as of now (though I still get my *** handed to me by them the AI from time to time).

My main problem are the Tau. Emperor-damned Stealth Suits as well as their Commander with his missile barrage.

well...that's not what I was looking for...
You see, the banners in this mod have a ton of detail compared to what actually is possible with the format the game accepts for banners (and badges of course).
Of course, there always is the possibility that I'm too dumb or unskilled to make great banners with such a low resolution...

I was wondering...how did you get those high-res badges and banners in-game?
I mean, it only accepts 64x64 for badges and 64x96 for banners...doesn't exactly allow for all the detail in yours.
So, please, enlighten me. how can I make such fabulous, high-quality badges and banners! :D

Interesting...sometimes you add the commander Levels, sometimes you don't.^^
Is there a reason for this?
It's not like they are necessary, I am just a person that prefers order. Death to the Forces of Chaos! FOR THE EMPRAH!

EDIT:
Oh, just noticed this! Aren't Clawed Fiends a bit more...ape-like? I guess this model has not been created with the Clawed fiend as reference, looks more like something from Final Fantasy IMO.
I know models are kinda hard to come by for Dawn of War but maaaaaaaayyyybe we will get a shiny, new, hairy model in the future :D

So, my guesses are: Resource trade, like the Inquisition has for example.
Some kind of Warhound Charge attack.
Bonesinger Research like the IG has for techpriests plus increased teleport range or teleport now requires Research.
Avatar upgrade, dunno what exactly it would do.
Additional Webway Gate researches, resource Generation like IDH Urban Districts, next one no idea, increased heal field, increased shroud field.
Eldritch Spire Upgrades, either giving global buffs or spezialising the nuke.

Just FYI, I don't get this bug, but I noticed, that some meshes and textures on some of the units are missing.
Namely, the Ancient Wraithguards "loincloth" is this typical missing-texture purple, the Vulture Gunship's left front weapon is a grey box and the Ork Stompa has a similiar grey box at the tip of his "chin".
Nothing you'd notice in-game, except the missing textures, and definitely nothing important.
Just wanted to give a little heads-up.

This is not a problem that can be fixed easily.
First, it's not really a "problem" as in something doesn't work. It's like THEONLYDarkShadow said. The other players use different versions of the mod and/or altered soulstorm.exe's, which differ from yours.
And here's where the second "problem" comes in: You can only see games, which have exactly the same setup as yours (running the exact same mods, with exactly the same versions on exactly the same soulstorm.exe). Now, to see the games of other players, you would first need to know which mods, versions and soulstorm.exe they are using. This would require a lot of communication, best done via a forum thread.
I recommend getting a few friends to play this mod and make everyone use the same setup as you do.

Most definitely. That Damage + Knockback + Global Range(+ able to see everything without units nearby, like any AI)is damn gamebreaking. No chance at defeating them once they get them. (Okay, i managed it once...with my fifth reaver titan or so)
Oh, and while we're at it, could someone tune down the volume on some of the DE global abilities? namely the one, that depletes morale and of course the regeneration thing of the Citadel. They make me want to throw my headset across my room.

Try using only the "Win/lose: Annihilate" wincondition. I don't know about assassinoation (never played with it), but i do know, that there are races (looking at you, tyranids) who can't be defeated in extermination, because they have units, that don't appear on the battlefield at all (Hive Mind). Apart from this, I can't tell you that much more.

Technically speaking, yes.
You would have to edit the UltimateApocalypse_THB.module.
The only thing is, that the Steel Legion would then be completely unbalanced in comparison to the other factions.
It is not recommended to simply "merge" these mods, instead pray to the Emperor, the Dark Gods, the Old Ones or whoever you worship, that at some point in the future, sub-factions like the Steel Legion will be implemented.
But don't get your hopes up. If at all, it wont happen soon.

Not wanting to be impolite or anything, but this is most probably not gonna happen.
There are multiple reasons:
1) there are no models of them afaik
2) lorewise, the custodes haven't left the imperial palace for ages
3) and most importantly: balancing. as you describe them, they would be virtually invincible, wich makes all other units of the IDH redundant and fighting against IDH pretty much impossible

Again, I don't want to be the pessimistic ***hole telling you how stupid your idea is.
All I want is explain why it wont be reality.

I agree as well. I do not really endorse the use of un-lorefriendly stuff. It has happened here before, I know, and most of those units actually feel like they would be lore. But in this case, I do not think it is necessary. The Dark Eldar do not need another titan. They are strong enough as it is, in my opinion. Hell, I had difficulties defeating them with Angron (partially because he locked himself in his own base and then crammed it full of units and at least half a dozen Tormentor Titans...and the Warp Storm ability was on cooldown at that point of time).

Hey there, I just found this mod a few days ago and was pleasently surprised to see it's still actively being worked on - more or less - and just wanted to ask a quick question? Do you plan on implementing the major alien races of the galaxy? I for one, could very well imagine them as one faction here, as most of them fit specific roles. (Turians=Soldier, Salarians=Infiltrator, Quarians=Engineer, Krogan=Vanguard, Asari=Adept). I do now that that would require quite some modelling, but you have already done quite some stuff in that direction, so maybe that's not too unlikely?
