The crash is caused by the Vulkan wrapper, remove D3D9.dll and dxvk.conf from your DNF system folder.

Make sure the sourcemods\darkinterval-beta\bin_2020 folder contains three files, which are:
client.dll
game_shader_dx9.dll
server.dll

If the mod uses something like Source 2013, put the custom folder inside that. As mods will scan the source 2013.

So for example I wanted my custom folder for Coastline to Atmosphere which uses Source 2013. So i follow the guide above for the gameinfo.txt

But then I put my custom folder inside the source 2013 folder
Example: Steam\steamapps\common\Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer\hl2\custom

This should work with other mods that use other Source SDK bases too.

The mod runs fine, install to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life

There's no trojans or viruses in it.
