I haven't been playing Edain since the previous complete version, I mean when you could build towers and stuff everywhere. Yeah, it's been a while. Now I came back, installed the latest Edain and: whoa. Stunned by the incredible work you did, guys. Only problem: now this game has become too difficult to play without a user manual. I mean, take the example of Mordor: you have so many choices to do, one cannot just spend weeks trying to figure out everything by himself. And the maps: each map requires a previous knowledge to gain possession of all the strategic points. Uhm, uhm.

there's one thing I don't get. Why do you keep leaving unresolved the problem of lag.

I know you need programmers and even to mess with the game engine. But with a crowdfunding initiative you could get all you want, engine included. Would it break the law? Come on: contact someone at EA. Edain is the only reason why one would still keep playing their game as of now. Otherwise it's a dead game, almost 10 old.

To me the best quote from the Trilogy is "Ride to ruin and the world's ending".

I dont like those short pikes, but I honestly don't get how a small wall instead would look better. For sure it'd look weird and useless, unless you can climb it. It'd just replace the barricade with trenches with pikes inside

Sorry for double post I had browser issues. Once a Huorn wakes and turns bad (it should require some time for the Evil player) it can slowly spread its negative power in a larger range and more powerful effect. By spreading some kind of dark fog, it can put good factions passing by, under fear, cut their fire range, make them move slower. But if an Ent comes and regains power over the bad Huorn, its power turns against evil. So the Evil player has to think well whether to activate this evil power or not.

There could be a distinction between good Ents and common trees. These, even without the ability to move, may turn violent when under the spell of some evil power or hero, but could be regained by Ents as tree shepherds.

It'd be difficult for those ancient creatures to be a stand-alone faction like others.

Eagles and Tom Bombadil could never fight for evil, but

some Ents can and actually did, become evil. Druadan and Beornings could fight men and dwarves if annoyed.

I agree they should be supporting SOME good faction, but in a different way than now. Yes they are very enjoyable, but I think they'd deserve a more mystic aura than now

About future changes & adds in the game factions. I think M.o.t.E. would be enough, since I cant see any further faction that can be a stand-alone one, lore-wise.

I also think that there are ancient forces that cannot be part of other factions, and should be in game with a different mechanic.

Seems like you're doing a great job on Mordor. I just don't like that bit of goth taste some of the new buildings have. It should have a cursed, filthier look

Sorry mate but this game is about LOTR not about PJ's Holliwood adventure fiction. If you don't even read the books, what are you here for? How can you claim to insert something within a story you don't even know?

you are wrong for TWO BIG REASONS: 1) Peter Jackson's Hobbit is modeled after the clichés of Hollywood's fictional adventure, if you follow him you turn Edain into something already seen = boring and tasteless. 2) Edain is modeled after Tolkiens books, you cannot ask to insert pieces that just don't fit. A game needs an internal coherence, just like a story. For you: just read Tolkiens's damn books and you wont like P Jackson stuff like before.

At present I'd just hate her sorry, for two reasons: a made up character, and a copy of existing heros, in terms of skills. Of what real use?

A Ring of power is NOT an original idea. If you take them alone, almost any part of Tolkiens' world is not original. Original is thw whole.

I don't like the Defiler model's colours, but overall it's a good interpretation of him.
