Hey, I just finished mission 1, andi just wanna say that this is probably the best wad I've experienced in AGES, the level design is pretty on point, though a little bigger than it NEEDS to be (GZDoom cry's when you walk into larger area's)
but overall the exploration was amazing, every time I backtracked or died and went to an earlier save i was finding new stuff, side paths, secrets, and enemies lol.
The arsenal so far feels solid, nothing is overpowered, nothing feels too weak. the gun sprites are fitting, the sounds are pretty beefy (especially the shotgun)
and the assault rifle's zoom feature actually has a place here.
the powered gauntlets made me feel like chuck norris, the custom jump height feels perfect
The enemies are decent, the melee goons feel a little too beefy until you get the power gauntlets, then they're literal fodder, the projectiles are fast enough to feel threatening, but dodgeable, the ai doesn't fight itself 24/7 so you can't cheese the game. and I don't feel the need to play with extra gore mods or anything :D
I could gush for hours about how great this WAD is. I can't wait to see it completed :)
