Oh please, they didn't do their research, they made a mistake, people complained, and now their trying to cover their *****.

They did the same thing with the Maul being from Dathomir instead of Iridonia debacle and the Clones being disobedient, treasonous and quick to desert contradiction.

There are plenty of other things from season 6 that dramatically alters the established universe.
I mean come on, did you see Yoda fighting Palpatine, dafuq was that!? They aren't even freaking trying anymore.

The Yoda vs Palpatine thing was a vision. Still a WTF moment, but I've come to expect this from TCW.

Is TCW still screwed up? Hell yes, just saying it ain't the fricken spawn of the devil some folk make it out to be. At least they're attempting to patch things on their end instead of trying to claim everything else is wrong.

Remember when the Force was the Force instead of midiclorians-crap? Honestly anything outside of the original trilogy is glorified (and constantly clashing) fan fiction, TCW ain't the first, worst, or last offender.

Yes there were plenty of other bad things to come out of the franchise, but Lucasfilm didn't try so hard to shove it down our throats. I can't type in "Star Wars" anywhere without getting bombarded by TCW. And i don't remember the original series of the same name getting nearly this much of a reception. If this keeps at this rate, pretty soon when you say "i'm a star wars fan" people will think you like this crap. Season one and two, they were trying to ingratiate TCW into the established star wars universe but ever since season 3 it's been the other way around. Now they're trying to ingratiate the established Universe With TCW, throwing out large chunks of whatever they want.

Ive seen all 6 seasons (with the exception of a few episodes I haven't found the time or willpower to watch, yes its a chore for me to watch TCW)and I still can't grasp why people (my age and older) like this garbage. It doesn't feel like star wars, the dialogue is crappy, and just certain things don't make any sense whatsoever, and this is excluding the plethora of continuity errors with other EU sources as well as the movies in certain cases.

I mean did we really need another Clone Wars show? It just causes confusion. After episode 3 completed the saga, they opened up a whole new era to explore, and what do they do? they revisit the era they just covered! doesnt that scream "money scam" to you?

In the end, it all comes down to this: you can slap a Star Wars logo on any piece of crap and people will bow to it. They know this and they've already exploited it. Its not about good story telling any more its about money.

Honestly it seems like quite a few franchises are going down this path (Star Trek & Transformers being the big two I think of). Sadly until new franchises start being developed, old ones will be drained to worthlessness due to cash income. It's basically modern media as a whole, with TCW being a prime example.

As a side note to your rant there, the Original Trilogy probably didn't get as much reception as now due to A) no easy ways of distribution (internet) B) less development funds and C) STAR WARS wasn't an established media giant. New stuff always gets more press then old stuff for a plethora of reasons.

"i don't remember the original series of the same name getting nearly this much of a reception."

I didn't say original trilogy, I said original series, referencing the original Clone Wars Series

Description

Just finished watching through the sixth season of TCW and I can safely say the canon is in no more danger then it already was when The Clone Wars was conceived. All the dust that was thrown up with the whole "Moraband instead of Korriban" debacle can be put to rest. Moraband IS Korriban, just an alternate name (like the name Pesegam), and appearance, lore, and purpose-wise it's the same place. TCW is still a mess, but this one particular debate is over.

In other news they found Sifo-Dyas's lightsaber in an old wreck... which is odd, since Grievous /trained/ with that particular lightsaber and still uses it to this day (It's one of his main 4 sabers, the other 3 are from his most powerful opponents).

So yeah, one mess replaced by another. I'll stick to my private fan fiction from now on, Filoni and Lucas are both a bit out of whack, putting it mildly.
