same thing happens for me, i tried downloading it so i could try out the newest version and it only gets partially downloaded before it aborts the operation. i'm trying again just to be sure it's not a problem on my part
NO ROME TOTAL REALISM MODS WORK. THEY WILL CORRUPT YOUR ROOT FOLDER, MAKING ANY VERSION OF ROME TOTAL WAR INOPERABLE UNTIL YOU MANUALLY UNINSTALL IT (NORMAL UNINSTALL METHODS WILL NOT WORK!) AND REINSTALL WITHOUT IT.

Ah, I got it. I couldn't use the original destination tag because it was directed to use the EAWXLauncher.exe as the starting program. I needed to change it to swfoc.exe to get it to work. Sorry for my ignorance.
Technically, since the Zann Consortium's in-game goal of ruling the galaxy is completely un-canon, One could argue that the Consortium has no viable use as a playable faction in Galactic Conquest mode if total domination is the only available option for them. If there was a way to make them have another way of winning by corrupting every world in the galaxy, not necessarily conquering it, that would be cool, but as far as I know that's impossible. I am fairly sure that you could make them a third party player like the Hutts or Black Sun in the original EAW, just make them a considerably greater annoyance and even a threat at times.
Ah, the issue resolved itself. It was a corrupted install. Thank you so much for this p*a*t*t*o*n. this has got to be one of my favourite mods for any game.
Note: I've re-installed the mod and I'm not sure if it matters or not, but after backing up the main data files I've put this mod's files in the game's main data folder. I did this because the shortcut ignores the addition you said to make in the destination tag.
Sounds great. One thing I might suggest, if I may be so bold, would be to perhaps give the Consortium more droid units to use. Assuming the Galactic conquest maps and main campaign are anything to go off of, they have an abandoned droid factory on Saleucami and an entire transplanted Geonosian colony on Hypori, as well as Geonosis itself. One would assume Zann would have more than one model of droid at his disposal. I know a few mods that add Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids, Lucrehulk Battleships, etc. Thus far few of them have been able to do justice to the droids or the Lucrehulks, though.
It's on the Equal Footing map for Galactic Conquest, And I'm playing as the Imperials.
There's a bug with your newest version of this mod...
Found a bug...Space stations for Rebels and Imperials are already on fire when a battle starts, and every ship except artillery (Broadside Cruisers, Marauders, etc.) CANNOT fire on the station, no matter what you do.
