The first step is seek and existing add-on which removes animations. If you don't find any, asking politely will probably net you a better response than telling the authors their healing system is 'stupid'.

IDK, something along the lines of "I like your mod, but would prefer not to have the blackout animations when using medical items. Is there an easy way to remove them?"

… and will be all for naught if GSC places an injunction on the author and makes ModDb remove it.

Calling it a 'donation' is merely semantics. It is compensation. Compensation for product based upon both GSC's IP, and other modders work.
Saying Thank you, voting for the mod on ModDb, giving it a good review are great ways to say thanks.

Everyone's idea of top-of-the-line PC hardware differs, but if after following Jasper's tips you can't play, there is something wrong on your end. I know many people who play just fine on laptops that don't even meet the specs of the original game. Then again, many 'elite' modern systems barely meet the CPU specs of the original game.

Just curious, if Anomaly is any good (challenging, exciting, stable, bug free, etc.) why are you back to MISERY so soon?

Why do people insist on comparing apples to oranges when it comes to game performance?

Ah, Canadian Dollars LOL. So what do you get for $6000 Canadian? Xray doesn't gain much from slow core 8+ thread CPU's or Crossfire/SLI. Follow Jasper's tips and you should manage fine.

It only makes sense to me you would seldom find lighters at traders. What stalker, who has one, is going to sell it to a trader (so he can have one in inventory)? I've know plenty of smokers IRL who are quite cavalier about leaving their disposable lighters behind, but never one who didn't cherish his zippo (usually of some nostalgic value as well) and take care not to leave it about.

That makes sense, such a reward for cheating (it is impossible to find them otherwise), is not at all in line with the MISERY concept. Free goods, in pristine condition, without any risk at all to the player. I'm glad they were changed. Maybe the note should have said "Get out of here, Stalker" or "Congratulations, you have successfully cheated"

You should request a refund. Failing to meet the expectations (however unreasonable) of paying customers and produce work of the expected quality on the customers arbitrary timeline is just plain wrong. Oh wait, they are doing it for free - never mind. Just because a tree has no leaves does not mean it is not alive and doing things invisible to you and that the foliage will not be glorious when it is revealed.

How fast do you eat a chocolate IRL? Are you some sort of chocolate speed eater? What do you know of a dogs range? It's pretty good IRL, why shouldn't it be for mutated dogs in-game? Are you sure you're capable of chewing and walking at the same time??? It's going to take some effort to convince me, personally...

"Controllers, psy beasts and zombies DO NOT CORRUPT SAVES. If you are unable to load a save by lowering your switch distance to 20 or 30, loading save, and saving again, then restoring your switch_distance, post a link to your full log and we can verify if you have an otherwise corrupted save. Saving within switch_distance of alerted zombies can make your save not load, but it is not corrupted. the above work-around works EVERY time."

Look familiar? Your saves are not corrupted, they won't load. Won't load does not equal corrupted. Only analysis of your full log and save game can determine if a save is corrupted.

Always works for me, except if its psi aura, you need to leave the psy aura field before saving or just exit the game and re-enter so you can see your weapons again.

Why would anyone save inside a psy aura routinely or near enemies?

It must be the mod, right? It couldn't be you or your inability to install a mod or run a program, could it?

Right click on your COP desktop icon and verify you are not using any compatibility settings. Some systems will require it be run as admin, most won't. My Win 10 does not. Any OS settings should be unchecked. This usually fixes long load, save, and menu access times.

You would not need a 'backup' sniper rifle if you were not infatuated with an inferior long range weapon. The SVD_alt and Ghillied SVD are much better handling, faster firing and more accurate (without having to hold still so long while your sights settle for each shot). The Green dragon is improved over 2.1.1, but still not anything I would use, even were it free. All weapons have disadvantages IRL and in-game. If every weapon and armor did not have both pros and cons, there would only be one armor, one weapon in the game because nobody would use anything else.
The new Ghillie is fantastic for its purpose and you no longer get killed by every incidental contact with heat, psy beasties, or a lucky shot. A snipers armor is his disguise, and relocating after potentially being exposed. Choosing a hide accessible to mutants is inherently dangerous.

Sweet! Having all that advice and info in one place is great!

I might just push my ammo type and fire selector off the screen too. I think I can keep track of the ammo at least. The selector might be a little more challenge.

I always like to count my shots anyway, so I don't miss the inventory anyway.

So, what you are asking for is virtually worthless stashes across the board for dark road play? It is impossible to configure balance for every players tastes. Players can make very simple choices to implement their own monetary restrictions. Not harvesting any stash you have not 'won' by completing a task or interrogation would be just one of them. Only bartering with NPC's would be another. Until stashes are randomly generated, or better yet all dynamic and not spawned until revealed (like the Alun's stashes) self imposed restrictions are the easiest solution. Someone could do an add-on with very low value stash items ...

"Immersion Breaking" is one of the most over-used terms. Getting lucky, or unlucky isn't immersion breaking. That's why they have the terms lucky and unlucky. Their selling them for twice the buying price would be an exploit. Buying for half or 20-25% of the selling price is good business. Overall, I have found the contents of stashes and rewards (in particular for low risk missions) to be greatly diminished which is totally MISERY.

Just a real fast test on my rig yielded 10 FPS improvement in unrestricted FPS at 2160P lowering my Vision, Object, and Texture detail from full to half on the sliders. At lower resolutions I would expect even more dramatic improvement.
