A new version was released just recently; if you'd like to find the most recent version people are using on servers (as far as I know anyway), try Last-outpost.net

Hope that helps!

You are responsible for your own actions. The fact is, as far as I can tell, you came here with poor intent in order to start an argument. YOUR actions in doing that are what would cause them to want to ignore you, in my opinion.

There is no conspiracy. You are not being targeted. It's your own behavior, perpetually bringing your own personal issues and trying to start fights, which is causing the very lack of responses you bemoan. If you really want answers to your questions, you should focus on putting your personal problems behind you, instead of bringing them up at every possible opportunity.

Respond if you'd like, but that's all I have to say on the subject. I hope others reading this will go on to download RPGXCE and enjoy the mod, regardless of these little squabbles.

I'm not sure what you're referring to regarding the "repack," but if you're referring to RPGXCE, that release was with the full permission of UberGames.

This is not an uncommon thing with free, community-based projects, nor is it uncommon for projects to "die" for a period of time and then come back. That's the nature of mod development, since people have lives and work outside of making free games. That doesn't mean we can't be excited when there IS something new. Nobody is trying to convince you otherwise.

I have difficulty respecting your opinion because I don't think it's coming from a genuine place. It appears to me that the accusations you're making and the anger you're spouting is motivated by your personal dislike of some individuals involved in the development of RPG-X.

You spend a lot of time complaining and absolutely no time contributing (in fact, you refuse to release any maps for RPG-X any longer or update those you've already released), and while that's certainly your right, I don't have to respect you for it. And, I'd point out, you have failed to address any of my claims on that point - while I have responded to everything you've said.

I can't speak for Harry Young or GSIO, but I wouldn't be surprised if the reason they didn't want to respond to your questions was because they know your history in regards to this mod, and aren't interested in starting an argument with you over it. To me, that makes much more sense then the idea that there is some sort of conspiracy here to refuse to make a free game.

An answer has been provided; see GSIO's comment above.

Both he and I interpreted Cloneest's question to be in regards to an earlier announcement about RPGXCE (which was posted back when it originally came out). If that wasn't the original intent of the question, it's for Cloneest to say.

My point is that your question, direct though it may be, is in bad faith, as most of your other postings have been. Whether I am a "part in this" or not in your mind is not relevant; I am expressing my opinion.

Apprentice, you know very well that The Last Outpost offers the current stable version of RPG-X, and that what Harry and GSIO are developing is rpgxEF, a new and updated version.

You also know that while progress is slow, it is in fact happening, and that new RPGXCE and rpgxEF releases are still forthcoming. Just because this site hasn't been updated doesn't mean the mod is dead, or that the community is dead.

Further, based on your posts here, on The Last Outpost (last-outpost.net), and on your website (apprentice.be), you have very specific and very personal issues with one developer, a man who isn't even working on RPG-X anymore.

You spend an inordinate amount of time in all the places I've mentioned bashing RPG-X, its developers, and its community, because of what is as far as I can see a personal grudge you hold against someone no longer involved with the project. You've also spent a lot of time hinting that your future maps will be available only for a different game, and insinuating that though you could make them available to the RPG-X community, because of your personal grudge against one former developer, you won't.

I've been watching this, and I'm getting pretty tired of seeing your negative and clearly personal attitude get in the way of this mod's
development.

None of us here can help you with your personal issues with this mod, and I do not feel your various comments and pointed questions here, even the legitimate ones, have any intent other than to harass and irritate the mod's developers. In my case, they're certainly working.

I think it would be good for everyone involved if you took a step back and stopped spending so much time bashing RPG-X, the mod, over something that happened between you and a developer many months (maybe years?) ago. If you really are that upset with RPG-X, the best thing you can do at this point to stop it is to leave it alone, ignore it, and find a different community to be part of.

Hey,

I'm Veritas, developer of RPGXCE and one of the founding members of The Last Outpost - the answer is yes, lots of people play RPG-X on our servers! We have daily RPs and RPs unscheduled that occur whenever people are on, along with frequent serial roleplays (episodic adventures that occur each week) and events, all open to the public. I invite everyone to try RPGXCE and take a look!

We do have plans to incorporate rpgxEF into RPGXCE in the future; a first patch for RPGXCE is due out this weekend, and we'd tentatively like to have an rpgxEF version ready by late May/early June. More news will come as updates progress!
