Well, like I said, you would look in configs/gameplay, that's where the dialog is stored. It's a lot of dialog to write and it's no easy task, join the discord and get help from there, it's too much to explain in the comment section.

Well, there is a lot of unique dialog for each faction, it wouldn't be as simple as editing a file, you would have to change a lot of checks for the true faction or add unique dialog yourself in configs/gameplay

Incase you haven't Figured it out:
Loners, Clear Sky, Duty, Freedom, Mercs, Ecologists and UNISG can play Lost to the Zone, any other faction can play story mode but they only have the generic Doctor X quests. Personally I wouldn't recommend ironman as these storylines are pretty long and pretty daunting with how many enemies it throws at you.

If you start a new game as Sin the other factions will still be unlocked, albeit Sin doesn't have their own story, just a Doctor X story, which all factions have.

Set the artifact spawn rate to 1 and wait out an emission, if that doesn't work could you upload your save please?

I haven't found a way to, sadly, but you can type "save (name)" into the console to overwrite it. I never recommend you enable something that disables your ability to save or can mess with your save unless you plan on using it temporarily, but even than, it's a fun gimmick until it's not.

Mercs guard that base sometimes, bounties work by selecting a random hostile faction and spawning them in to target the player, assuming you have a really bad reputation or a really high rank (Veteran or above iirc)
