Well thats truely nice of you. How about you leave those sort of comments out. PVKII and PotE are two completely different mods. If you would rather play that then im not stopping you, but theres no need to leave a comment like that.

Well, it depends really, melee combat will be quite fast, however the block/parray system will slow this down slightly and not let it turn into a mash mouse-fest. As for guns, reload time will be realistic to the weapon. A Blunderbuss will slow down movement of the player and the reload time will be quite long (8-10 seconds), where as, pistols will be loaded quicker and make less of an effect on the players stats (movement, etc.)

In essense, the New World Pirates are those pirates who raided the aztec temples for gold. They worked for the empires in europe and were classier in general than caribbean pirates. So you could say they are yes, although not actually the Royal Navy, they worked for the monarch.

The only thing this mod will have in common with PVKII is that it features pirates as a playable character, PVKII, great as it is, is a lot like UT in gameplay, very fast pased, no tactics needed. Whereas, the world in PotE is actually destructable. Ships are destroyed, cannons are fired, and we are going for a more gritty and realistic type of mod too.

We are looking into this idea, prehaps also sinkable, but if this was the case we would probebly make the ship partly destructable (hull sections, masts snap, windows smash, deck has holes, etc.)

And then the ship would start to sink and you would have to either go down with it (if your trapped in the lower decks) or escape and board the enemy ship, or try and stay afloat on the larger pieces of floating debris.

Currently the core of the team is based in the United Kingdom, we have one artist working from home in the US. Most members have previous experience within the mod and games industry.

Hello, yes this is a possibility, although due to current resources and team members we are looking at releasing BETA with two teams of pirates, and a single map. We dont have a date for this yet, but we will be keeping you all updated!

Yes, Players choose a team and class, and get a weapon set (rifle, pistol, sword, explosive) and each team owns either a ship or an island/landmass. This depends on the map in question of course.

Each ship will have a certain number of cannons, and each island will also have a fort which, in turn has the same number of cannons.
