Apologies for the late reply this issue has
only recently come to my attention.
I assume you are using windows 10, if so

With windows 10 do not set bladesoftime.exe to
a compatibility mode.

Set bladesoftime.exe to 'win xp sp3' compatible for helix
only when using windows 7.
