awesumsauce.
i like projektariel's idea. here's my theory-
you could have several trigger_multiple and func_portal_detector spheres around the cube. the cube's trigger_multiples would see if the player is close to the cube, and the portal detectors could activate trigger_multiple hemispheres parented to pre-made portals. then it would create the illusion of the trigger going through the portals.
that's just a theory anyways. i bet it could work pretty well though.
i'm assuming the blue and orange glows that appear on the portalgun.
oooh, i see
the textures are pretty cool. maybe you could implement them into some sort of puzzle.
i would really like to make a mod like this game. it'll have an actual STORYLINE! :3
but unfortunately the "create mod" button for the 2009 source engine is broke, and nobody on the Steam forums is of any help- they keep rambling on about how tf2 was never meant to be single-player and "oooh, the GCD is just a big old map. learn to map, n00b". it's REALLY getting annoying and i NEED to know how to make a TF2 mod.
yeah, me too. if something doesn't look right, i'll be working on the one texture for five minutes straight. =P
heeeey... in the original Portal, doesn't GLaDOS say not to submerge the device in liquid, even partially? =P
man, making the hole and keeping it real will be a challenge. good luck!
man, this is cool!
i have a few tips though-
#1. make sure you can't put a portal on the other side of the acid room so they're forced to use the faith plate. otherwise players could skip it without considering its use.
#2. you should either remove the portal frames or make the portals automatically line up with the frames to make it easier.
Stop Using Caps On Every Single Word.
are you going to have beta testers? (if you are, i would be glad to help out!)
i wonder if you have to burn the sad cube. o.o
this game looks SO COOL~
